Breeze users-Help!

I have had my new mask for about three weeks and I love it except I cannot get the stupid thing to stay on my head at night which of course leads to very loud leaks! Has anyone had any luck modifying it? I have the strap attatched to the thing that slides. I have tried moving stuff around but it has...

I am not clausterphobic but as a newbie myself I will tell you the nasal pillows would definitely be better. I hated the mask. It almost took up all of my face! It is sooo much better now that I have my mirage swift. Hope that helps!

You are right I am very glad that this has been a hassle free process considering all of the posts I have read about other DMEs. I know for sure he did not tell me I was buying the equipment, but I was to sleepy to think to ask questions about it. I spoke to my insurance company this morning and the...

Is ths unusual?

When I went for my tiration (Oct.14) study the next morning the sleep tech had all of my equipment there to take home. He had the prescription from the Dr. ahead of time. I never met with DME, wasn't given any choices. I found out yesterday that I bought the machine. I didn't even know I was buying ...

I don't know anything about my tiration study except that the next morning the tech gave me my machine, mask and told me he set it at 6. The info I gave was my initial sleep study. I don't have a report from my tiration study.

Another question

Is it normal to get colds after starting cpap? I have had 2 in the past 3 weeks and that is very unusual for me.

I do NOT feel better, I am soo tired all of the time, but I am not sleeping through the night because of mask issues I think. I know it has only been less than a month since starting and have heard it takes some a good 3 months to really sleep well. That is why I am asking so many questions. Is this...

I am glad I found this group

Thank you for all of the advice. There is a lot to learn and that is why I am asking so many questions. Ok, so I don't need the auto, thats good because I really didn't want to fool with trying to get one anyway. Do you have to have a specific prescription for a machine that records data? Or does th...

talked to DME about apap

I spoke to the DME and asked about the apap and she said that the Dr. prescribed the one I have and that must be what he thought I needed. She said I have to discuss it with the Dr. Will Drs. normally do that? I don't want to call their office only to feel like an idiot. Everything I read says they ...

answers to your questions

First of all, thank you sooo much for posting back with your advice!! I have been to other apnea message boards and you are lucky if anyone posts back. I really appreciate it! The only way you learn is from others who are going through the same thing. When I went for my cpap study the next morning t...
