Re: M Series Pro not recording data to smart card
Thanks for the helpful replies. I am using Encore Pro, not Encore Viewer, and I just downloaded Encore Pro Analyzer earlier this week (then spent some time figuring out how to get it to run under Vista). So I'll start wiping the card at least weekly and that should take care of my issues. Thanks aga...

Re: Solving mouth leaks and other issues
I'm a user of the 3M gentle paper tape (Micropore, I think). That works pretty well for me. The advice from LinkC about the "granny-face" lips is right on. Every once in a while I manage to create lip boo-boos for myself. The key is to peel the tape off *slowly* in the morning.

Re: M Series Pro not recording data to smart card
Thanks for the replies. I'd thought about erasing/formatting the card at some interval. I assume my long-term trend data is stored in Encore Pro's SQL database? I wouldn't want to lose that data. If formatting the card weekly or so will eliminate the 2-3 day recording dropouts without losing that tr...

M Series Pro not recording data to smart card
I searched around for posts on this but didn't find explicit answers, so here goes... After several nights of working perfectly, my M Series Pro has failed for two nights in a row to record any data to the smartcard. I plug in the Mako card reader, open Encore Pro, extract data and have it save the ...

Re: Product Challenge Chinstraps Fail To Please CPAP Users
I'm a mouth breather and have used paper tape to sidestep it. I've never tried a chinstrap. A question about the papCAP: How well will it work for someone with a very weak chin/underbite? I generally like my OptiLife mask but have always had trouble with the stabilizing chin strap slipping off my ch...

Re: Here is how to measure your exact intentional leak rate SLPM
Outstanding post. I've been wondering just what the *real* intentional leakage is from my OptiLife mask. I know what the graph in the user's manual says it *should* be for my prescribed pressure but I hadn't yet figured out how to realistically compare that number to what Encore Pro is reporting. I ...

Re: How does my M Series Pro know the time?
Thanks for the responses. I'm sure this is hackable but that would take some doing. As long as it's more or less correctly clocking the amount of time I sleep, I suppose that's enough. It would be nice if the charts showed the right turn-in and wake-up times but I'll just continue to overlook it.

How does my M Series Pro know the time?
I use a Respironics M Series Pro machine and have Encore Pro for looking at my nightly charts. As you all know, the data is time-stamped; for example, today's chart has me sleeping from 11:14 pm to 5:32 am. The problem is that the time is off by an hour. How does the machine know what time it is any...

Re: Here's last night's Encore Pro results... help!
A followup... here is last night's (Thursday night) chart: http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww62/major_works/6-12-09.jpg Note that the leaks are significantly less than in the chart shown in this thread's first post. I used Lansinoh and a "tights fix" headband to snug up the pillows. I'm happy wit...

Re: Here's last night's Encore Pro results... help!
I tried a Mirage Liberty some time ago. It leaked too. And, it broke on me as well. I think I had a Mirage Activa once as well. Leaked. As to the UMFF, I'll consider that but it'll have to wait now. I just ordered the Swift LT and insurance won't pay for another one for at least 90 days. The one thi...

Re: Here's last night's Encore Pro results... help!
Yes, I am glad I have the software, though I've been guilty of not using it for a long while. I finally installed it on this computer, though. If this therapy ever really works for me, it'll be Rested Gal's fault, because she hooked me up with Encore Pro in the first place. The problem for me, Den, ...

Re: Here's last night's Encore Pro results... help!
Thanks very much for the reply. Actually, those numbers from last night are uncharacteristically good and I have no idea why. I'm typically in the 4-5 AHI range.
I'll look around for the tights fix.

Here's last night's Encore Pro results... help!
I've been on CPAP since December of 2006. It's still not working for me like I'd hoped it would. Compliance is not an issue for me at all. Rather, it's the inability to control leaks, or at least that's what I think. Here's last night's report: http://i706.photobucket.com/albums/ww62/major_works/6-1...
