First of all you need to know how bad this centrals issue is. Is it without CPAP? is it at a few pressures on CPAP? is it at many pressures on CPAP and worse than off CPAP? If you had centrals during your original sleep study to any degree, you need all the professional help you can get to treat th...

Cathy, I'm a longstanding CPAP user who recently switched from an old machine to a REMStar M Series Auto, the machine you want. Even though I got this machine, I am using it in CPAP mode because I have had significantly increased apnea, including central apneaa , in APAP mode. Although I haven't fin...

Looks great! Too bad, though, that it requires a doctor's prescription. I'd love to buy one for my brother, who denies he has OSA (even though I've seen him fall asleep and stop breathing on several occasions) and refuses to get a PSG. He's overweight, smokes a lot and is a big fan of that river in ...

James, Thanks again for a wonderful product. Two issues: 1. Response to Questions . Sorry to be so late in responding, but I agree that C-Flex and humidifier settings should be averaged to reflect mid-night adjustments. 2. Tech Support!! I've been using the software (0.7.5) since November 20 and did...

Michael, I read your other post and it confirmed my suspicion.....you switched to APAP mode. This has happened to me when I switch from CPAP to APAP......same error. You're fine.....just gives some screwy looking charts. Den, Does it drop your page 4 charts as well? Is the answer to delete the data...

Is there a difference in hypopneas? If so, the higher CPAP pressure may be treating you better than APAP. Yes, OGH. Under CPAP, only 1 or 2 hypopneas; under APAP, 6-18. But, the interesting thing is that many of the hypopneas are coming at pressures ABOVE the CPAP titrated pressure. One would think...

Encore Pro Error Code "Subscript out of range"
All of sudden, I've been getting the error code "Error 1 - Subscript out of range" after downloading data from the SmartCard in Encore Pro (v.1.6.22, database v.11.9). The data downloads fine -- the only problem is that page 4 of the detailed report (Sleep Therapy Daily Details) does not display at ...

APAP Anomaly in APAP Mode
I have OSA with a recent PSG titration of 9cms H2O pressure. I've been a hosehead for 9 years, but have been using a new REMStar M Series Auto for about the past 10 days. For 5 of the days, I used the machine in APAP mode, with pressure set at 7-12 or 8-12. The other half of the time, I've set the m...

Way to go, Trina! Great to see results so soon. You and I got our autos at the same time (tho' I've been on CPAP for years). It's funny, I've switched mine to CPAP mode, and it's lowered my AHI significantly. I'm going to keep it on CPAP for a few more days and then switch back to auto mode to see i...

Thought I'd add my two cents, for what it's worth. I've been on CPAP for 9 years. Recently got a new M Series Auto. I wanted the Classic Auto after reading comments here, but my DME only carried the "M". I must say that I'm very pleased with the machine. It's so much quieter than my old machine, I f...

Re: Am I Missing Something?
To do this you will need to navigate to the Encore Pro utilities directory through My Computer. If you accepted the default path on installation it will be C:\Program Files\Respironics\Encore Pro\Utilities. In this folder you will find two files: Don't erase Data After download.reg and Erase data a...
