I was looking at the product desription on cpap.com, and noticed the following:
"The Encore Viewer software will not delete or alter data on the Encore Pro Smart Card."
Since the Smart card will not hold infinite data, what happens?

Pure Soap
jpu1969,
Like you, I read the instructions and went looking for pure soap. Couldn't find any either. So, I went on the internet and found the following:
http://www.sungoldsoap.com/
Bought a gallon. Not sure how necessary it is, but I use it to wash my nasal pillows daily.

I would...
I would find all the DME's in my area that provide CPAP equipment and services and who work with my insurance. Then, I would at least call them all and talk to them about what their process is for providing equipment and masks. Then, I would choose the DME I wanted to work with, not the one my sleep...

Why?
Why not unplug? I understand the clock battery doesn't charge even if you leave it in. So why leave it plugged in? Even though it doesn't use much electricity when off, it does use some. Is it that much of a bother?

Recovery
I had the procedure as well, though it sounds like you're having a bit rougher time of it than I did. In addition to the nasal spray, my ENT had me doing a saline flush (2 cups Distilled water, salt, and a baby suction bulb) several times a day for 2 weeks. All I can say is it was worth it. I didn't...

During my initial split-night sleep study, I could not tolerate any mask or nasal pillow interface. I felt like I was suffocating. I got referred to an ENT, who diagnosed a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. Not sure how I got the deviated septum, but I had the septoplasty and turbinate reduct...

Why?
Why do I need to clean and disinfect the hose if there is always positive air pressure? How can bacteria or viruses get into the hose? If I only use distilled water in the humidifier, why do I need to clean it? Why is it that if I get AHI's consistently below 0.7 on CPAP at my titrated pressure of 1...

Sleep debt
I recently finished reading a book that I think everyone with OSA (or other sleep disorders) should read. It's called The Promise of Sleep. Among other things, it really explains sleep debt. http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?SEC_IID=21663&PAGE=ENDECA&SearchType=HP_Header&N=0&keywords=The%20pro...

Apnea times
According to the data, I'm averaging AHI's less than 1 (between 0 and 0.7) with time in apnea between 0 and a few seconds. Sometimes I get 1 or 2 total events, but 0 seconds in apnea. Not sure how that happens.

When I was on straight CPAP, my pressure was 12 cm H2O, and my AHI was around .4 to .7.
I think I'll give Auto another try at 12-14 and see what the numbers look like.
Best regards,
Rafe

Didn't work well for me
I know most people here who try it seem to like it, but I'm not one of them. I have a Hybrid. In the closet. I didn't have any problems with getting it to seal, but for some reason, I got lot's of condensation in the mask after only 10-15 minutes, even with the HH on 1. Tried a Breeze too. Uncomfort...

I understand, but...
I understand that theoretically, if the titrated pressure is correct, it will eliminate just about all apneas, while an Auto has to react to an apnea. That's why when I first setup the Auto, I set it for Min 12cm H2O and Max at 14cm H2O thinking that if the titrated pressure was correct, then the Au...
