Re: Smartwater
Have been using "Zero" Water for the last 8 months....with no problems...the water is so clean, with no solids...the meter they give you to test the water litereally reads 0.00! ...and it's fantastic for drinking! The Zero Water pitcher can be found online, and at Target...and probably in other stor...

Re: Nasal spray addiction with CPAP
This was suggested by an ENT as a way to help one slowly get off the Afrin. I bought the generic Flonase, which is cheaper....you need a prescription for it....you might have to take a small pair of pointed pliers to get the metal cap off of the generic Flonase....you also need an empty nasal spray ...

Leaking problem
Hi, when mine started leaking soon after I bought it in Nov '06, I asked for a new one, and it was sent out from cpap.com where I bought it originally. I have not had any leaks since, except once when I put it together from a cleaning....sometimes, when you open it for cleaning, your disturb the lit...

I see there have been more entries for this topic....this is more of an update on my situation.....since getting the Auto Cpap in Nov, I have steadily felt better and am getting such better sleep, it's incredible. The only thing I can attribute this to is the auto cpap....I have it set as follows: l...

..........that is frightening......
Wow, that is disturbing news...if it's true, that should change peoples mind about NOT getting tested for sleep apnea......a colleague of mine just went in for a sleep study a few days ago,. and was told he stopped breathing more than 50 times during the night...he's been feeling horrible for a long...

Does anyone know how to adjust this model.. Remstar Plus LX
It's the Remstar Plus LX Cpap. A friend of mine found a NOS in a box at a garage sale for, if you can believe this, $20!. never opened! He needs the info to set the pressure. He had the same machine but lost it a few years ago, so he knows that his pressure is 9. Thanks! John D _________________ CPA...

Thanks for the responses....College girl....that's interesting, because CraigTX has higher than normal as well for the pressure he is using.........I realize it's not the machine that would cause the high leak rates, but I was curious if other M series owners with the Mirage Activa masks were gettin...

Bones, thanks for the url...but that chart does not correspond to what I have experienced over the past 3 months with the Comfort Gel mask...as an example, I have had an average mask leak rate between 38-39 % according to Encore Pro and Jskinners software, with the Comfort Gel, and the AHI's were ab...

Mirage Activa and M series Encore Pro Average Leak %?
Just started trying the Mirage Activa mask with my M series Apap...the folks that have this combo...what are the leak % numbers you are getting? Mine seems high, 40-42%, yet my AHI's are around 2.0-2.4. Thanks! John D

Hi Wulfman....
There is no error at all....that's what is strange...no error message on the machine, just beeps and flashes.......when I insert the card into the card reader, it accepts it, although the last 5-6 days. that has been sporadic, sometimes I would have to unplug the reader and re-insert the card. I am ...

Smar tcard failure/longevity?
Does anybody know how long these Smartcards are supposed to last? The one night I wanted to really see the data, as I am trying a new/old mask, the smartcard failed. ( I found a replacement outer insert for a Fisher/Paykel "Acclaim" mask I had put away a few years ago).... I can't get the card to do...

Mirage masks..........
Hi....am thinking of changing masks...I keep having leaks in my present one. I was thinking about the Resmed Mirage Activa or the Ultra Mirage II......since I move around a lot during the night and am mostly a stomach sleeper...so the mask gets moved a lot. Any feedback would be great on both masks....
