Need Help with Pressure Setting !

Can someone tell me how to change the pressure setting on Sullivan V Elite by ResMed. It's a 1999 vintage.

I have an instruction manual but it doesn't cover the pressure adjustment.

Thanks to all.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE !!! I also find the warm air uncomfortable. I was trying to get away from using any humidifier but every morning I would be sneezing and my nose running. I also started to experience nose bleeds. I was told by my DME and by people here at CPAP talk that I had to increase my humidifi...

Runny Nose and Nose Bleeds

You guys told me that my nose problem was probably caused by my humidifier not being turned up enough. My DME also agreed with this solution. You were all right on the mark !!! I cranked it up to the top end and my problem, for the most part, is gone. OH, I still get the odd sniffle and sneeze but w...

Thanks again Mary, for passing that along. Yes, this is a good site. A lot of nice people here.

Thanks also to Craig - Tx for letting us know that the picture size and number of Kb's must meet requirements.

Best wishes to all !

Hi Sharon 1965, I read your post and guess what... I too had my worst night last night. Well not really last night but this morning. I've been experimenting with my humidifier trying to find the right setting. It goes from 1 - 5 Last night I tried 5 . Woke up this morning with a stuffy, runny nose a...

Success at last !

I resized my Mug Shot and reduced the KB's to below 15 as recommended and low and behold... it worked.

Thanks Sharon 1965, glad you finally got your picture posted also, and thanks Bookworm, for your help.

Thanks Sharon 1965

I tried entering a photo also but it just won't work.

Maybe we are both doing something wrong.

Maybe someone will explain this procedure in greater detail.

How do I add my Mug Shot ?

I've noticed a lot of people have a picture of themselves under their name in the "AUTHOR" section of their posting.

How do you do that ???

This is probably a stupid question that has been asked a thousand times but please forgive my ignorance.

Again, Thank you Bella ! I went to the Government site and printed the Information given. I think everyone in Ontario should know about this. I also printed the form that the Doctor is required to complete if he thinks you are a driving road-risk. The key word on the report is "UNCONTROLLED" Therefo...

I also wish to thank you Bella !!!

I am glad to find out that it is up to the Doctor in charge and not a general MTO rule.

Thanks again

I have been on 15 since the start. I too, found the ramp made me feel like I wasn't getting enough air so I stopped using it after the first night. I kind of like the high pressure. Seems to help me breath better. The only real problem is mask air seal leaks. Some nights are worse than others... don...

Apnea and the Canadian Law Continued !

Thanks to all who have replied so far. I see one other person has had the same request as me about signing a form for the MTO. It seems strange that some people living in the GTA and other cities in Ontario, are required to sign forms and others are not. I guess it just depends on the Doctor you cho...

Apnea and the Canadian Law ???

I live in Toronto Ontario Canada. Last year when I went for my sleep study, I was asked to sign a form agreeing to understand that if I was diagnosed with sleep apnea that the Doctor was obligated to notify the D.O.C. Ministry of Transportation. Does anyone know what this is all about and how will i...

Follow Up on Nasal Irritation

I wish to thank all who responded to my question about my nasal irritation caused by my CPAP. I get the feeling that my Heated Humidifier is the answer. Although I've been using it every night I don't think I've had it turned up high enough. I have spoken to my DME today and she agrees with all who ...
