And if it doesn't, I think cpap.com sells lightweight portable models.

Yeah, I was just as brainy. I insisted that the wife and I watch the disc together. So I inserted it into the dvd player and sat back down to watch nothing on the screen. When my wife was saying that the disc probably wasn't playing because it wasn't a dvd I opened up the player and flipped the disc...

Everything but sleep

I had a sleep study that showed I had severe OSA. I've been reading lots of posts and decided on a remstar auto with a heated humidifier and an ultra mirage full face mask (bought from the fine folks at cpap.com ) I read the directions in both of the manuals that came with it. Set it up the first ni...

When I had my sleep study they attached one of their four or five thousand sensors somewhere to check for bruxism. I was kind of startled to see it listed on the report. And despite my dentist selling me something to prevent nightime ginding a year ago I discovered that I don't grind my teeth at nig...

Thank you thank you thank you. I read the directions a couple of thousand times til I thought I knew what I was doing. But I'm so nervous about my first night using the machine that I freaked out when the display wasn't displaying what I thought it should. No wonder my wife won't let be put together...

setting the remstar auto into the right mode

Ok, I'm finally ready to start using my remstar auto with c-flex . I plugged it all in, filled the humidifier with distilled water and got the hose and mask all ready. However, on the bottom line of the display screen next to the words led it says C_FLEX . I go into the manual and I convince myself ...

Yoga I had a long talk with my doctor and he said that I could go off the stuff if I committed myself to doing a blander diet and that's what I've done. No citrus except for a little squirt of real lemon in decaf tea, no tomato, no more than a drop of hot sauce and not often; that sort of thing. It ...

From the second of the articles in that Chrisp provided links to "There is conflicting evidence as to whether APAP is more effective in the treatment of OSA than traditional CPAP . Although there is considerable evidence that “APAP reduced the apnea plus hypopnea index to acceptable levels (AHI <10/...

That's a great idea to get checked for reflux. Most times reflux is associated with heartburn and acid coming up the throat. I have reflux that causes breathing difficulties by irritating the bottom of the esophogus ( I think that's what it is) and causing it to go into spasms. . Couldn't catch my b...

I have a barber who scuba dives and he rubs vaseline around the rim of his face mask to make a tight seal. Maybe this is the same kind of stuff. After reading the long list of things you shouldn't use near a face mask, I imagine the vaseline wouldn't be doing the mask any good. Allan waiting for apa...
