Re: AirCurve 11 release imminent?

Thank you for your input! I figured that sticking with the "tried & true" S10 would likely be the correct approach, but I wanted to see if there are any significant benefits in the S11 platform versus the S10. Because the S11 machines have been out for a while, I was pondering the thought that maybe...

Re: AirCurve 11 release imminent?

Hypothetical question about personal preferences (if you don't mind):  If replacement time for your current ASV machine was coming up, and IF the Aircurve 11 was imminently being released for sale, would you personally wait for the Aircurve 11, or stick with the 10 series machine? (Curious to know, ...

Re: ASV titration specialists? Any thoughts about developing a list of providers?

My current settings are: EPAP 7.2, Min PS 6.0, Max 14.0 Thank you again for the video link which briefly explains Dr. Krakow’s concepts. Excellent! My ASV settings have changed over the years, but those changes have all been quite minimal. Several years after my initial study with Dr. Krakow, I had ...

Re: ASV titration specialists? Any thoughts about developing a list of providers?

What were the differences in the machine settings, if I may ask? I believe that dialing in the settings is similar in concept as to when an auto-pap unit is constrained to a tighter window of pressures instead of being run in a factory "wide open" manner. If someone has a (straight CPAP) titration ...

ASV titration specialists? Any thoughts about developing a list of providers?

Question: Being that ASV titrations can be more complex than others, what are your thoughts about compiling a list of doctors and labs which are known to possess high skill levels (specifically) in ASV therapy and titrations? In the past I have been fortunate enough to work with one doctor who train...

Re: [ASV] What are all of these "Timed Breath"s in SleepyHead?

Here I've zoomed into a single timed-breath event. I don't see anything unusual. http://i.imgur.com/hjF25RT.png If you look closely, right before the event, you'll see a longer time interval has passed between the inhalation peaks. That is when the machine kicked into gear and forced the issue.

Re: Warning for ASV users with Chronic Heart Failure and Central

There was a reply from somebody, but that post has disappeared. The poster said that this has information has been discussed previously, but now that message is gone. (???!!!) The following was my response: Sorry about that! I'd delete the thread if I could.... Maybe one of the moderators could plea...

Warning for ASV users with Chronic Heart Failure and Central

I don't know if this has already been addressed here in the forum or not. I did not search, but it is important enough for me to post this nonetheless. I recently received a warning letter regarding ASV use in patients with chronic heart failure AND primary Central Apnea. Study results have indicate...

Re: ASV users RESMED aircurv 10 asv vs S9 Adapt

I don't check in here very often anymore, but fortunately I happened to see this thread. I was using an S9 Adapt for several years (an early model) and switched to an Aircurve ASV a few months ago. I couldn't be more happy with the Aircurve, although other than design & aesthetics, I don't really no...

Re: Gastric insufflation and ASV

yeah, I mean, ASV machines are practically full of magic unicorn farts for people with compsa and csa, csr, etc. but they're not a magic bullet for everything. ... one of our members is a victim of barry ASV Krakow to the tune of thousands of dollars and still has that problem. I'm NOT picking on y...
