Re: Free(*) to a good home - AEIOMed Headrest masks
Hi - do you still have any of these spare AEIOMed Headrest masks available? I've searched high and low since they discontinued the product, every other mask I've tried just doesn't quite fit my head quite right. So I've been clinging on to my precious 8 year old mask - gluing back any parts that bro...

Re: 2 years of CPAP+a few surgeries later & an extruded implant
For anyone who might be interested, I took some photos to try to show you guys what it looks like when a Pillar Implant goes wrong and gets extruded. Look at the back of my throat, there will be a large white lump towards the right... that's caused by about a few millimetres of the implant sticking ...

Re: 2 years of CPAP + a few surgeries later...
Thanks for the kind words guys, it really means a lot. Yep, you hit the nail on the head spot on SleepyT! I'm just struggling to find any and every way possible to eliminate the need for CPAP completely. Its been great, the last 2 years that I've been on CPAP, I can't remember feeling this good the ...

Re: 2 years of CPAP + a few surgeries later...
Its been a while, thought I'd update this thread. So, bad news regarding my pillar implant. I went back under general anaesthesia had the end trimmed off one of the pillar implants, which was sitting too close to the surface of the skin. 4 weeks later, I had a review and the site was swollen, and th...

Re: How old were you when you got diagnosed?
I was 26 when I got officially diagnosed. (I'm 29 now)
I had tried going to a ENT before to complain about my snoring when I was 22, however, I couldn't afford a sleep study then and left it at that.
Imagine how much more fun my 20s could be if I had diagnosed it earlier....

Hey schleima, how has it been in the last month since you've been on that dental device?

Re: resmed s8 auto cpap data card reader
Hey jase, I'm on the S8 too, forget about buying the actual card reader, its such a rip off price. If your game enough to go down a more DIY route: Look at this thread, it gives instructions on how to use a generic card reader to read your S8 data card. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t38260/ResMe...

Re: After 2 years, I *FINALLY* got a restful night's sleep!
Hey schleima, could you post up a picture of your MRD? I'm very curious to see how it looks like. From what I understand, dental devices like these are all slightly different in some way. I did a quick google search and came up with some of the more popular brands like somnomed etc. Just trying to f...

Thanks Rested Gal.
I've got pretty much a perfect fit with my Aura headrest, so the results in the morning usually shows
AHI = 5 to 6
AI = 0 to 1
Leaks = 0.0 to 0.1
Sigh.... I LOVE my mask....

2 years of CPAP+a few surgeries later & an extruded implant
Hi everyone, Long time lurker first time poster. I'd thought I share my CPAP experience so far. Got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at the end of 2006, which was a complete shock to me as I was only 26 and in great shape. I took to CPAP like a duck to water, and from the first night of treatment I...
