Snoring inidcates a problem, sometimes apnea. The worst problem of apnea is not breathing, due to airway closure or other problems. The best wa...

Rainout
Rainout (condensation) will happen at the point that saturated warm air turns to cool air and can no longer hold the moisture. The water in the humidifier is heated. Compressed air from the machine passes over the heated water. The air picks up warmth and moisture. The warm humid air travels down a ...

My Doctor prescribed a full face mask for me, because I was a mouth breather. I suppose that was easier than helping me find out WHY I was a mouth breather. I broke my nose about 20 years ago and ended up with a deviated septum. I had it surgically corrected about 2 years ago but over time I had dev...

I've never bothered to take distilled water with me. I just use either tap water or bottled water at my destination. I might be a bit more concerned overseas but for a few days here and there in the states I don't see a big reason to worry about distilled water. Just my opinion! Agreed. But, I spen...

[quote="krousseau"]Anyone know what the role of the humidity in the environmental air has to play in this. I'm assuming if the humidity in the air is 90% it isn't going to pick up as much water in the cpap humidifier (at any given temp) and at a lower humidity it would pick up more water. So do you ...

Rainout = Condensation
I've followed the discussion on rainout and have experienced it myself. The bottom line can be summarized as follows: 1. Condensation is not a matter of one particular temperature but of a difference between two. 2. Condensation is the opposite of evaporation. It's been my experience that the less w...

The bottles are not sealed. They never were. The prescription label is the standard label that is found on any prescribed medicine. My name, the Doctor's name, phone number, etc. I just called the Doctor and he phoned the prescription in to the pharmacy. The only prescription I carry is for the mach...

Travel with CPAP
I’m new to CPAP and newer to this board. The information that I’ve picked up here has been an education of tremendous value. The difficulty I’ve had in adjusting to this new machine has been shortened and made easier because of the experiences shared by all of you. So, I thought I’d share something ...
