Re: Encouraging SleepyHead Donations for Mark's Past Work!

Thanks to Pugsy, I got the link and downloaded the SleepyHead software. Mark this is an extremely valuable and powerful tool for us PAPers. Can't thank you enough for the effort you put into development. I took care of business via PP and encourage any other users to do the same. And thanks Nate for...

Re: Auto CPAP stopped working - what next?

Ok, decision made and order placed. I decided on the PR System One REMstar Auto. Definitely worth ordering it via the 800 number vs. internet. The price is considerably less ($647) including the HH and hose. Now, I'm sure it will come with the limits wide open to 4 or 5 to 20 cm. Is it similar to re...

Re: Auto CPAP stopped working - what next?

Thanks for the advice Julie and Pugsy. I'm not sure whether insurance will cover it, but I'm ready to pay out of pocket if need be, This is too important. I'll submit afterward and hope it will be covered . it was last time (6 years ago) so I think it will be alright.

Auto CPAP stopped working - what next?

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been around cpaptalk. In the past I've gotten some very good advice here, so let me ask a few questions. Last night my Series M Auto CPAP wouldn’t turn on. It beeps and displays a message advising me that it needs service. I went to my original Series M Plus mach...

Re: FED UP with cpap...

There's a lot of great advice posted here. I couldn't agree more with obtaining the software and taking control of your own therapy. You have a great machine, and to reiterate, the mask is the hardest part. I had terrible sores on the bridge of my nose from a number of different full face masks. Tri...

Re: Look at my new signature

I've always wondered what would happen if there was a power failure during the night. A few nights ago, I found out. I came up out of sleep with a sense of struggling and woke up right away. I knew what happened almost immediately. Now do you suppose I'll go out and buy that backup battery I've only...

Re: Mouth Falling Open (newbie)

This subject has probably received more ink than most on the forum. I've tried mouth taping, and it somewhat worked but I just didn't like doing it. You can use a micropore paper tape available at the drug store. Chin straps for me did not work. I could hold my teeth together and my lips would still...

Re: In my defense.

I just want to respond to the "why we change pressure" issue. I was originally titrated at 14 cm (and given an M Series Plus). I requested an Rx from my sleep doc for an APAP machine, and indeed he gave me one. The pressure setting specified was 4 to 20 cm. Anyone who's tried that will probably like...

Yes, I was thinking of putting (sic) after the word "breath", but I knew you'd all know it was a direct quote.
