I inquired about my technician's education, and she hadn't completed any degrees in the medical field. I'm guessing she makes $12-$15/hr. I'm not sure what a night in an ICU costs, but I doubt ...

How Much Did your Sleep Study Cost?

I'm fighting with the sleep center over my charges for a simple overnight study.

The first night was $1944
The second was $2189

I find this to be outrageous!!!!

I've worked with at least one individual whose dementia was directly attributable to OSA. A relative had observed that individual to sometimes go four to five minutes without breathing while sleeping. Five minutes seems to ring a bell in terms of the time it takes without breathing for brain damage...

Jen,

I agree. One thing is for certain. OSA can't help Alzheimer's victims.

Scary stuff RG. I wonder if there's any correlation between OSA and Alzheimer's.

Then there was that recent study that showed if you lose too much gray matter you become a.............. Congressman!

It's called Phishing, and it's VERY common. It's not limited to just PayPal & eBay however. The thieves will flood the Internet with millions of official-looking emails from banks, credit unions, loan companies, etc. If even a very tiny percentage of people respond, they can make off with a lot of m...

All the more reason to not deliberately remove the mask at 4 or 5 a.m. hoping to get a couple hours of so-called "real" sleep before time to get up. Why do we do that? I know this is usually the ONLY time I remove my mask, and for me, it's because I do feel like I can get some added sleep without t...

I OFFERED a perfectly good solution Rabid.....my own simulation I dont understand what was wrong with that offer. You did NOT offer a perfectly good solution, and you know it. You offered sarcasm, and not very good sarcasm at that. If you want to debate the science behind SC's theories, go for it, ...

You know what?

STOP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS ON SPLIT_CITY!!!!!!

The man has his opinions, and has tried to stimulate honest discussion. He has been a gentleman throughout being gunned down.

Go ahead and debate his theories, but he's done nothing to deserve the personal attacks.

I guess it is thought that being fat is just the patients fault. I know for a fact this is true for many (even most) health-care professionals. However, I believe more & more, there's a shift of in that thinking overall in the industry. True, anybody can become slim, but at what cost? There's a gre...

The procedure used to cost over $500, so $129 is not a bad price. It gives your doctor more info. Mine adjusted my Lipitor after getting my results.
