I don't see why the doctor asked for a sleep study. The daytime MWT is all the FAA is asking for, correct? If so, I would do only that and not the nighttime sleep study. You should already have a record of that with successful titration from two years ago, anyway. Either your doctor doesn't understa...

You should at least keep a record of what your settings were for each night to show your doctor. The DME doesn't matter in that regard. Tha data will show what your median pressure was, your 95th centile pressure, and your maximum pressure, as well as AHI , leaks, and compliance numbers. The pressur...

Sometimes I get water going through the hose to my nose (hey I made a rhyme ), so vapor isn't necessarily all you will get. My well water smells bad enough just in the shower. Wouldn't want to smell it all night for sure.

If you can download your data from your machine, send it to your doctor and ask him. It may not be necessary to go back if everything looks good from the recorded data. If the insurance company is paying, it might be worth doing anyway. If you are paying, I would not go back if I was doing ok with t...

I would take it to the DME that set it up, and have them do a pressure check with the hose, humidifier, and filter you are using all hooked up.

The Spirit holds a full years worth of data. The five nights is only refering to the detailed one night graph, which shows pressure, leaks, and AHI in graph form. You should see that when you get it downloaded for your doctor. Ask for a copy for yourself if they don't offer, just for your own record...

I've used an ADAM circuit for five years. I find it to be quite comfortable and almost leak free (the best I've tried in that regard). I use the angle adapter. Might be what Ann was referring to? I'm not aware of different types of headgear for it. Nothing is perfect, but having recently tried a Swi...

The first reason I bought an AutoSet Spirit is because I was doing better with it when I used one (same model) from the sleep lab for a two week in-home titration study, after having used cpap for nearly five years. I needed higher pressures (as well as variable pressures) than what the sleep study ...

There,
I would suggest you try distilled water in your humidifier, and see if that changes anything. Filtered water is not as good as distilled for a humidifier.
