Doesn't have a very long life when power is out. These types of battery backups are designed for use with computer equipment. It...

Hi Lyza, Very interesting post, I was in the same boat as you a couple months ago. I am tech oriented and once I found I could monitor my own sleep with the proper equipment and improve my sleep I decided I had to get the Auto to satisfy this need. Like you I went in to my first appt with the DME no...

I called Respironics and gave them my serial number. They said my warranty is good through 4/20/2008. I'm happy with that. I started my therapy with the original Plus model on 4/21/2006. Heck this Auto was probably in the same shipment as the Plus unit I received. Thanks for the help!! They really s...

Thanks everyone for the help. I was just wondering if there is a code within the serial number that relates to say a month and a year. Usually with some products this can be determined. Some use the first digit as the month and the next 2 digits as the year or something like that. Maybe a DME on her...

Can Manufacture Date Be Determined From Serial Number?
Can Manufacture Date Be Determined From Serial Number? Just interested in knowing when my Apap was manufactured because I received it with 480 blower hours. It was used as a loaner for sleep study purposes before I got it. Would be nice to know should any problems arise down the road. Thanks DB

Hi jrc, I've had vertigo before. First time it happened, I was sleeping then I woke up, turned from one side to the other and BAM the room was spinning in circles and my vision was shaking. Scared the sh** out of me. It went away after a half minute. After checking with my ear doctor he said is was ...

The only way to get an Auto WITHOUT a prescription that states "Auto Cpap", is to buy online. You need your doctor to give you a prescription for an Auto before you can take on the DME. If your doctor gives you the prescription for the Auto then you should be able to insist that you be given one. Yo...

Hi jeepdoctor, Try Rested Gals panty hose trick. My variation is that I double wrap the panty hose around the down tube just above the connection of the interface and above the exhaust holes. There is a ridge there that will not allow the panty hose to slip down over the exhaust holes (if you are wo...
