Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

I had the Pfizer vaccine. I have a long history of fever blisters. I get them at times of stress, illness, injury, and even from the sun. Never had them from flu shot or other vaccines.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

I had the second shot Sunday and now have fever blisters on my mouth. Do you think that could be a side effect of the vaccine?

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

Husband and I will have second Pfizer vaccine this coming weekend. He has a Friday appointment, and I have Sunday. I staggered the dates so that if we had bad reactions we would not both be sick at the same time. We had no significant problems with first shot. He is 76 and I am 79. Hoping for the be...

Re: OT - Why I luv my cat (blk Bombay)

Before I started cpap (14 years ago) the cat we loved then would wake me up several times at night by scratching my mouth. Very annoying. Once I started cpap he quit doing that. I assumed he didn't like the gasping sounds I made during apneas. He did the best he could to help me.

Re: mold in humidifier

No. I have a Dreamstation, and the seal has a rectangular shape that fits on the top of the reservoir. It goes around the area that the hose connects.

mold in humidifier

I have a huge allergy to mold. I had the scary discovery of finding black mold inside the humidifier on the gasket that seals the reservoir and around the place where the hose attaches. The DME agreed to replace the humidifier for me. Do you think that would be enough? Do I need a new machine also? I...

P 10 pillows

When I get a new mask, the Resmed AirFit P10 for her, i get 2 pillows I cannot use. I use the medium and the mask package includes a small and an extra small. I would be happy to give them to someone who could use them. I can tell you they have not been used, but they do not come in sealed packages,...

Re: how to clean water chamber

Wulfman! Good to see you. Thanks for the links from rested gal. She kept me going years ago. I had forgotten about the dental cleaner. Back then I didn't need to clean a tank so I didn't keep that in my memory bank. I will not forget it this time. The salt and alcohol works for now. I had also consi...

Re: how to clean water chamber

OK, I will try that too. The opening at the top may be too big, and there is also another opening on the side. As time goes by I will try to find better solutions. The salt-alcohol mixture appears to be the main feature for clearing the biofilm. It might just be one or the other of them, but this ti...

Re: how to clean water chamber

We have a winner! Using a soft, flat 1/4 inch artist's brush and a mixture of salt and alcohol, I lightly brushed the inside of the water chamber's nooks and corners several times. I could reach almost every area, much better than I could with a toothbrush or Q-tip. I did not let it soak more than a...

Re: how to clean water chamber

Thanks for all the help. The distilled water does not have added minerals, so that didn't cause the problem. I have soaked the chamber in vinegar all day without much luck. I will try the other suggestions. I had not thought of salt or alcohol but I will try it. I never buy expensive vodka anyway, j...

how to clean water chamber

My husband and I both have the Dreamstation machine. The water chamber for the humidifier defies my efforts to clean it. It has so many corners and crevices in hard to reach places. It gets a film in it in just a few days. We only use distilled water so tap water can't be the cause. I have put them ...

Oscar question

I just started looking at the results from my machine on Oscar. When I tell it to import from the disc, it backs up everything from the dawn of time (2 years +) before adding the last day or two. Can that be avoided? It takes a long time.

Old woman here.
