My Ultra Mirage FF whistles alot and I think I've got it isolated to the far left hole on the exhaust vent at the top of the mask. On mine if you put your finger over it it stops whistling completly. I was thinking about taking out the vent and then putting some superglue in that hole to shut it up.

As far as insomnia goes I don't know about everyone else but before I was on CPAP it took me at least 1 1/2 to 3 hours to fall asleep then I would wake up about every 30 minutes. But now it only takes me 30 minutes to fall asleep and last night I only woke up twice !!! I think it has relieved me of ...

I found out today just how expensive brick and mortar DMEs can be. I got set up for the first time. The guy that was setting me up with the mask and all and mentioned that the Ultra Mirage FF cost $300!!! Heck on cpap.com theyre something like 150. and the S8 compact was 2000. That was just crazy th...

Most of the time my breathing is not too bad during the day probably the only time I will be using a machine during the day would be if I knew I was going into Resp. Failure. At the sleep center I was on CPAP all night and it wasn't an issue, the only reason Im considering getting a Bipap is for tha...

I do have a perscription, but I don't have a hard copy. I like your idea about renting for right now. They said that the rental period will end at the end of the year. I will probably be seeing the pulmo in November or December so I might be returning the CPAP for a Bi-Pap after I talk to her. I ser...

Right now I'm dealing with a sleep doc in Tulsa where I had my sleep study done and a Pulmonologist who specializes in neuromuscular disorders in St. Louis. The reason I'm dealing with this sleep doc in Tulsa is because if I tried to get a PSG through St. Louis I would have had to wait till December...

Thanks for everyone's reply. I'm pretty sure that I'll get the machine off of BillMyInsurance.com and the mask from the local DME. Although I haven't seen my perscription for CPAP yet I'm sure it isn't for the Auto. So that really leaves me going through the internet, but I'll have to buy the ruturn...

DME or online
I've got a question, Monday I go to the sleep clinic to get my supplies, I was wondering whether I should just get my mask I go to cpap.com for my machine or should I get both from the DME. I'd much rather get an APAP for the obvious reasons, and I really don't want to get stuck with a 10 year old c...

I got my final sleep study done last night. I am going to be picking up my CPAP and equipment within the next couple of days. Last night I used the CPAP for the very first time and whoa that was not what I expeted it to be like. On my first sleep study I only got 1 1/2 hours of REM without CPAP wher...

I was wondering what everybody thought of the HR7600. I'm really hung up right now on what mask I want to get. What I'm looking for in a mask are: 1) Stability 2) Comfort 3) Leakage 4) Noise I'm leaning towards a full face mask to make sure if I mouth breathe at night it will be taken care of. And I...
