Machine Tune-up ?
Does anyone know if and how often you should have your machine checked for accuracy and tuned up if necessary ?

My first night with the machine that also had a hummidifier, woke up with some water in the mask - tickling my nose. I just bought a hose wrap - PAID $18 - I wished I had read the latest posts. - Is there a website for the sale of these types of items ?

sore sides - update
My pressure is 11.
The soreness went away after a couple of hours by 11:00 am.
DME Daddy thanks for the explaination - my wide id bearly moved all night. Maybe I was afraid to move. We will see how tonight goes - I'll give everyone an update to AM

My sides hurts - Like I was punched in the ribs
My first night on my machine - slept great - no snoring no events ( according to my wife ) alittle bit of liquid in my mask from the humidifier.
The biggest surprise is I feel like I was in a boxing match last night - my ribs and sides hurt. Anybody have some ideas why ?

Does the patient haveany say in what machine they get ?
I have to get my equipment through CIGNA Apria, the sleep lab doctor prescribed a specific machine and mask. Does any one know if I have any say in the matter of what machine I get ? It seems that the mask is the most difficult part of getting the c-pap system working are there any recommendation on the mask? during the sleep study i used a nasal mask - which worked preety well. Any suggestions ?

I just got my perscription for a C-pap. In a way I am flying high !! I didn't realize what I was missing until my split sleep study and I was put on a c-pap machine during the 2nd half of the night.
