Thank you all for your help. I'm going to get the Polaris. I just have to find out yet if I'm buying it or if insurance is buying it. Here in SE Alaska, (it's a temperate rain forest you know), we have storms about 2-3 nights a week, and high wind ones in the winter at least once a week. I still can...

Somewhere between
This thread is very interesting to me, as I've been considering getting this unit. I am somewhere in between being a "turn on/off and go" person, and one that understands and wants to monitor the specific details of their own therapy. In your opinion, can this machine be used nightly so that I have ...

I knew what would be missing as well, and as far as my primary dr is concerned, they are screening and asking questions. Lucky me and the others that go to the med center. As for spreading the word, I am a co-ombudsman for a Coast Guard ship (family liason between the ship's command and the families...

Next Episode
Well, they took a perfectly good opportunity to do something original and break new ground, and instead they took the easy way out. I just saw the next episode, and I'll ruin for those of you who missed it. Meredith states her mom didn't snore when she talks with long lost dad, who says he snores "l...

Hi Princess, What are your needs? Do you want it small for packing? Do you want it to work from a battery? Do you need the CPAP while traveling to a destination (in the car, air) If are thinking small for size, the Remstar M machines without the humidifier are small enough. The oulet package is big...

aussie hose + passover HH
I've been reading comments about using the HH in passover mode. It's mentioned here in this thread - can you tell me what that means, how you do it, and what benefit it has?
Thanks!
Princess
Thanks!

Website Confusion
Hi, I've been reading this site for awhile, and I've responded a couple of times. This is all new to me still. I'm having trouble with some basic navigation stuff on here and I'm hoping someone can explain some simple directions for me so I can use this better. It's so frustrating to ask such a dork...

Wanted-secondhand masks
Hi everyone, Sorry for not doing a search on this, but I can't figure out how to post to an ongoing thread AND still be logged in as me. ARRRGGGHH! Anyway, I'm looking for a couple of the top picks for my next mask - as I want to try them out and find out whick one works. So far, I'm 0 for 3 for mas...

Thanks for all the great feedback! I'm new to using computers this way, so alot of what you write doesn't mean anything to me. IMHO - ? No, I haven't cut up any tights yet because I didn't know what fix that was for. I don't really understand what part an interface is - the masks, or the machine? I ...

I can't remember if it's an Activa, but my first mask was a Resmed Ultra Mirage and it covered my nose area. It worked ok for a week or so, until I could tell that moving around at night made it press on my skin and leave marks. I stopped using it when I had a welt across the bridge of my nose that ...

It's not the size of the tubes that created the noise, it's the exhaust hole. I have a small fan by the bed (for when I have those night sweats from the OSA) and it's 3x louder than the fan is. It's like a semi-quiet hairdryer! The DME suggested when insurance will pay for another mask (Feb 07), to ...

Rested Gal or vetrans help!
I'm new here, and I've been on a CPAP for 2 months. I'm on my 3rd mask (Resmed Ultra Mirage, F&P Infinity, SNAPP) and while it's more comfortable than the horrible Infinity, it's so LOUD. Is there a fix for this? My machine is a F&P CPAP SleepStyle200 Ambient Tracking Plus humidifier - the # on the ...
