resmed s9 & Hybrid- can't find the answer

I've searched the board, but can't find the answer.... what mask setting do you use on the Resmed S9 for a Hybrid? I just got my new machine this week and have been using "full face"... and get a happy face, but also get a really high leak rate- about 14l. The AHI is only .4, so I'm not too worried,...

Re: INNOMED HYBRID or ORACLE oral mask

The oracle was the first mask I tried- while I really wanted it to work, it was awful. I tried plugging my nose with the plugs and I tried the swimming nose clips- nothing worked. Plugging the nose was a real problem. I now use the hybrid and love it... Very comfortable. I love being able to breathe...

This pillow idea also interested me.... I posted on it awhile back. Here's what I found.... I spent a lot of time on the phone/email with Brookstone trying to get ahold of the "scientific study" they kept boasting... ______ Hi! I asked awhile back if anyone had experience with the sona pillow which ...

Sona Pillow- update

Hi! I asked awhile back if anyone had experience with the sona pillow which is supposed to treat mild apnea. Because my apnea is mild and is completely due to the structure of my palette, I thought it might be worth a try. I did a little homework and came up with the study they did. Turns out they t...

thanks.... I was just wondering if it really could "cure" mild apnea! The pap pillow is for cpap users.... not supposed to hep with apnea, I don't think. Anyway, my apnea is mild, I feel a million times better on cpap, but would love to ditch the mask

Anyone tried SonaPillow?

HI

I got an email from Brookstone which described the Sona Pillow. It's apparently an FDA approved medical device for treating (?) mild OSA. Has anyone given it a try? I've been on cpap for a year and have mild apnea. I'd love for a simpler solution!!!

me ,too

I had jaw surgery- moved both jaws forward- 20 years ago. It has held pretty well, but not quite! I'll be getting braces - for the fourth time- very soon and was also wondering if it would make sleeping with cpap trickier. Let us know!

nose plugs

I had a miserable time with the oracle.... did try a new nose clip that swimmers use, which really seemed to pinch... anyway, try the Speedo nose clip- I got mine at Big 5. Any sporting good store should have them....

believe it or not, I use the small cushion, one medium nose thing, and one large nose thing! Strange combination, but for some reason, it works! No leaks!

Wow- you are all so amazingly helpful! Thanks for your answers. My f/u appt is in December- depending on how everything is going, perhaps I'll ask for an apap. Sleep studies are NO fun!

How Often Are You "Re-Tritrated"?

For the veterans out there.... There's been a lot of "talk" on the board about adjusting pressure, apap machines, etc.... which made me wonder- how often do you have sleep studies after you have been diagnosed and are on cpap? It seems like the pressure should be reevaluated every so often, once the...
