I just changed mine last night from 13 to 14 and today I feel so much better. I have been on cpap for 9 months now and for some reason I started getting back the old feelings i.e. waking up anxious, waking up a couple of times during the night, waking up exhausted and sleepy all day. Just on a hunch...

XYREM for alpha-intrusion - any suggestions?
I have posted about his drug before but wanted to update. I was diagnosed back in October with OSA at my titration sleep appt they discovered Alpha intrusion all night. I was put on 1mg ativan 2 hours before bed + 15 mgs regular Ambien. Obviously no problem falling asleep - problem is staying asleep...

I don't know where you are but my sleep doctor's office let me borrow masks to see which would work best for me. Don't worry they are clean & sterilized. I actually started off with a "loaner" machine from them too. It was going to be a month before they could fit me in for a titration study and I n...

I keep reading about software. I just got my Resmed S8 this week. I was using a loaner until this week. Was I supposed to get software? The only thing my pulmonoligist asst told me was that I needed to do follow up visits every three months and they could "read" my machine. Should I call someone abo...

raising hell is the only way - at least it was for me. I told them I wanted relief and wanted it now and I was not leaving their office without something. they gave me the usual excuses " won't know what setting until your titratoin... blah, blah, blah. I told them to make an educated guess - they f...

I do trust the doctor. I live in Atlanta and am using Georgia Sleep Disorder Center / Dr. Jim Wellman. I had my first sleep study in October that is when the doc told me I has significant OSA. I told him no surprise there now what and he told me CPAP was the recommended course of treatment. I said f...
