I have the sleep study next to me, what is it you need to know? I typed out what I thought was relevent, but ...

Sorry, I have 2 insurances... Blue Cross/Blue Shield. They will pay 40% on all future supplies, and I believe the machine it's self. But the co-pay for the machine is $200 I would pay 60% out of pocket. My husband has a second insurance... forgot the name but they will pay 90%, the machine (the Elit...

It was just a passing thought since they can not figure out what triggers them, 4 years ago (this coming December) I had intense testing done in Washington at Swedish Medical for 2 weeks. They wanted to keep me for 21 days but nothing showed up after 14 days. Neither sleep apnea or narcolepsy were e...

I just called and they said I can get a copy of the sleep test (woo hooo). Which is more then I was told earlier! And believe me, I asked. I wanted to run the numbers you guys keep talking about by the group. My husband goes for his sleep test tonight. Geez I am not even sure when his next appt is n...

Sleep Apnea + Seizures?

Is this possible? Does anyone know? I know anything is possible, but are there any links? I have had 5 grand mal seizures over 15 years. They can not pinpoint why. None can tell me what triggers them. This last one, I stopped working in July due to sleeping about 20-22 hours a day (I kid you not), I...

I asked my doctor when I took my husband to his appointment, I told him I found the same machine online for $1000 less +/- then a local company and asked for a prescription. He said have them contact him (or myself with the company's name and the model I want) and he will OK it. As for who said I co...

Well I have a family doctor who, gives me a list of doctors to choose from (for whatever ailment) but will recommend one or two doctors (in this case she only had good things to say about one doctor, the rest (a list of 10 with in 30 miles or so of us that my insurance covers) Lets just say there wa...

My family doctor highly recommended this guy. He reads all the films (I am told) for the area I am in. Dr Gill if anyone knows of him. In all honesty, I do not want to wait (partial fear I may loose my insurance and my husband was told his job is iffy-- it's a 'grapevine rumor' at the moment but I d...

Checking in and a question or two ;)

OK went to my husband's appt this week and the doctor showed me what gives him an indication a sleep study is needed using my husband as a guinea pig (really kinda cool to see). He thinks my husband has severe to dangerous levels of sleep apnea which I knew just from sleeping in the same bed. My hus...

Resmed S8 Elite™ compact?

This is what they want me to use. I can't remember if I have read good or bad reviews on it I need to contact my insurance company but this guy said I will do a rent to own over a 12-14 month period (and implied it is the only way to do it) and it is the only one I can rent to own. This machine cost...

Well! Not the best Dr appt....`

I was so looking forward to my appt today. I was sure I could talk to him about different machines and such. HMPH not sure why but he is picking my machine... w/o any input from me. Kinda ticks me off. He wouldn't give me a prescription even after I told him I wanted to shop online. He is having "so...

I am sorry I confused you. And here I was trying to be clear and concise and I managed to confuse you! What I meant was I was only asleep for an hour at most with out the nose mask. I slept appx 4 hours with the mask on. I must admit I felt pretty good the next day. I took a nap but only for 2 hours...
