Re: Worried about past two nights
Yes, I take the chip out of my Resmed Autoset 10 and put it in my computer, then use the free Sleepyhead software to read the data. The machine itself gives very little in the way of detailed data.

Re: Worried about past two nights
Pugsy, and anyone else—I know that it’s not really that unusual to have gaps or large leaks, but the thing is, I’m seeing results I’ve never seen before. I’ve never had gaps, and I’ve never had large leaks. I’ve been on new meds since 12/27, and got a new machine on 1/19. Things things were great, e...

Re: Worried about past two nights--new graphs
Another night...I have a headache. Last night, I shut off the Smart Start and covered the button with a tupperware. There were no unexplained gaps, but the graphs still look troublesome, I think. I've never had these gray shaded bits--large leak? http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/svhr/Screenshot...

Re: Worried about past two nights
Thanks, Earl. My machine is brand new, with a ResMed card. If anything is wrong with it, I’d like to know. Even with insurance it wasn’t cheap!

Re: Worried about past two nights
Power outage was my first thought--but as you say, no blinking microwave, etc. Also, no cat. :) The sleep doctor said not to worry, but to let him know if it kept happening. He said people DO do this (shut off the machine in the night), but that it could also be a firmware thing, and to keep him pos...

Re: Worried about past two nights
I cannot begin to tell you how unlikely that is...;) We'll see what happens tonight, now that I've disabled Smart Start. Seems odd, though--since I've had no problem with it before. But then, my S9 never shut off by itself, even if it was supposed to. I always had to press the button to stop the blo...

Re: Worried about past two nights
Thank you--I will. So far, I've called the DME, and spoke to someone who had ABSOLUTELY no idea what I was talking about. She thought I was concerned that I wouldn't meet compliance and assured me that I would, since I have more than 5 hours each night. I explained that I was actually concerned I wa...

Re: Worried about past two nights
Thank you both--I will disable the auto on/off feature. I find it hard to imagine that I wouldn't notice if I was wearing the mask and it stopped blowing, but it's as good a place to start as any. Thank you. I'll also check with my doctor and maybe first my DME. I know the DME said they were monitor...

Worried about past two nights
For the past two nights, my detailed data seems to show that I shut off my machine for about half an hour each night. I have no memory of this, neither does my husband, though I can't say that's entirely conclusive--I find this alarming. I've been on a new medication regime since 12/27, and things h...

Re: Saw sleep Dr. today--wants more CO2, likes sedatives?
I re-installed SH on a different computer, and now everything is working perfectly. I can see all of my data. Yay! Thanks to everyone. Jnk--I agree, I am getting amazing care. I feel extremely fortunate. I am also thankful for this board--since I joined in 2006, you guys have always been there for m...

Re: Saw sleep Dr. today--wants more CO2, likes sedatives?
Re. my doctor's use of Sleepyhead software: I visited this doctor for the first time in December. He normally prefers patients to use Respironics machines, because he says he can get the full data over the air, by wifi. He said that the data ResMed sends doctors via wifi is less detailed. That said,...

Sleep Dr. wants more CO2 (?), continue sedatives
I saw my sleep specialist today for a follow up visit to my December visit, when he prescribed low-dose lithium to address my recurrent insomnia. I've been 100% compliant with my CPAP for years, but had been taking ambien some nights, clonipin others, and just not sleeping on the nights I took nothi...
