4-1/2 years of CPAP and I've started snoring again.
My hubby has told me that I've recently started snoring again. I've been using my BiPAP machine for 4-1/2 years. (I use either my Swift LT or Swift FX.) Has anyone else had this happen? I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow to see if he can request another sleep study for me. At least the good news f...

Ah.. so this explains why I get what I thought was acne on my scalp (above my ears, etc.)... it's where the straps of my CL2 sit. Hmmmm.... very interesting. So I wonder if those Clearasil acne pads will work to help "unclog" or whatever these things? Man, I just recently had one that was so painful...

why did they say the full face mask was worthless? Just wondering if you happen to know the tech thoughts. Also, yes surprising the tech gave out so much info... not the norm Well, she didn't say it was worthless , just that they didn't use them much anymore. I thought that was kind of odd actually...

Sleep Apnea is a family affair...
My dad just had his sleep study yesterday and the technician said that he definitely has sleep apea. She also told him that his oxygen level was down to 67%. For the machine part of the study, she hooked him up to a machine that also delivered oxygen. I guess she told him the doctor would prescribe ...

My all time favorite mask is the Comfortlite II. It's kind of similar to the Optilife but you don't have any straps touching your face. (No chin strap either.) My husband says it is kind of like sleeping with a Klingon but other than that, it's great! I'm a side sleeper and there's nothing really to...

I wonder if we can earn referral bonuses... :)
The FedEx guy was just here. All he was bringing up the walk was a small envelope. I joked with him that I hope it was something fun. He looked at the package and asked if I was sleeping okay. ??? I said I was. He then said he thought it must be a part for my bed and mentioned who it was from. I sai...

My Bi-PAP machine is making strange noises.
I noticed a few weeks ago that my machine was sounding "different"... I can hear an electronic beeping at times. My ears seem to pick up patterns easily and now I can really hear this noise. My DH also commented last week that the machine seems much louder. It used to be that I could wake up and not...

It's never bothered me. My DH drives me nuts though. For about two weeks after the time change (either direction) he's constantly telling me what time it "normally" would have been. LOL I guess I just find it easier to go with the flow. Then again, I work from home. If I had to get up and drive to a...

My mom's brother and sister are both at a normal weight and they both were diagnosed with sleep apnea. Thankfully for them , surgery worked. I'm a big chicken when it comes to surgery and I am perfectly happy using my Comfortlite 2 interface. My doctor also told me that it's not specifically related...

Boy can I ever relate. I'm pretty sure my DH could use a sleep study. Holy buckets does he ever snore. It bugs me when he falls asleep before I do because it takes me that much LONGER. Then I lay there and stew about it.... Our puppy also snores loudly. He sleeps curled up behind my neck. Sometimes ...

My BiPAP machine didn't cost ME anything out-of-pocket but that was only because by the time my rental period was up, I had already met my $1500 out-of-pocket limit for the year. (It was a bad year medically-speaking.) However I think they had billed my insurance about $2200. I had my flu shot yeste...

I am a fan of the Pur-Sleep stuff. I know I could have gone to the health food store and bought the "ingredients" to the kit separately but it was easier to just get it all together. (Plus it's all mixed the way it should be.) That's like when I go to craft shows and think "I can make that myself".....
