F F Mask
I have the exact same situation. I went with a Hybrid mask and am having very good luck with it. Never knew how nice it would be to be able to breathe through my mouth sometimes. Had some problems with leaks at the nose pillows, but read on this board to use chap stick. Did that ever work! The mask ...

Quick sleep studies
Just a thought about getting a quick sleep study if you need it. I have been to two different locations and they both told me that they get a lot of last minute cancellations. I bet if you told them you were willing to come at a moments notice, you might be surprised how quick you would get in. At l...

mask
Thanks College Girl. I'm doing pretty good with the mask. It is my plugged up nose that is the problem. Got on a new med. and I seem to be coming out of it. I have a Hybrid mask on the way that I hope will be good when the old nose isn't working. Seems to get high ratings from people. I will be watc...

Ramp
Makes sense. Guess I just thought I was using a ramp. The pressure does seem to work up quite quickly. Must not have a problem after all. Just seemed like it. A lot to learn with this stuff. By the way, I do love this machine. Started out on a single pressure cpap. This is like going from the other ...

Turn off ramp
I don't post here very often, but read the questions and answers a lot. Have a lot of my questions answered. Lot of brain power here. I can understand the plugged up nose thing. Can't wait for a frost to kill the goldenrod etc. Fall can be tough in Michigan. I have an FF mask coming just for that pr...

Monster Mask
I heard about a friend who was trying to sleep in a motel with his CPAP machine. Kids were running in the hall keeping him awake. He went to the door with his mask still on. When the kids saw him, all he heard was doors slamming shut.

Getting started
I started out with a regular C-PAP machine set at 12 pounds. I couldn't handle the back pressure and always ended up tearing the mask off in my sleep. I was able to change to a BI-PAP/Auto BI-Flex made by Respironics. I can't believe the difference. It is actually becoming a pleasure to use it after...
