Swift Hose Management

The best trick I can tell you is to route the hose to the side and use the velcro strap to the top strap. You then buy a small hose wrap and wrap your small hose to avoid any face marks. Works Great!

AHI Low

My advise is to look at your snores with the software and determine if your setting of 3 is causing some problems. I noticed that when beginning the exhale cycle, level 3 for relief may let your soft palat close somewhat and cause you to wake. I decreased mine to level 1 after I got used to the syst...

I use a piece of hose cover built for rain out problems. It cost $7 online. Put it on the small hose and when you sleep on it you are only left with a smooth mark that is gone after your morning shower.

I found the reader (model DT3500) for $50.00 online before I bought the software. After checking things out, I would pay the whole cost of things together ($199) to make sure I got the right reader. I have found readers of the same protocol for $35.00 online. The main thing is that your computer rec...

I have noticed the same thing with my BiPAP and Bi-flex. If I have the exhalation pressure too low, I get more snores. The pneumatic splint is collapsing and not keeping the airway open on exhalation. You may try to kick you pressure up a cm and still run the c-flex. You may get slightly more pressu...

I was also claustophobic and could not sleep with a mask. I tried nasal pillows (Swift, Breeze). They helped me loose the feeling of claustrophobia. The mask makes a big difference!!

C-Flex

I read the article also. It could only help and from personal experience, bi-flex and c-flex are very helpful. I could not handle cpap without it!!

My problem is that I use a Bi-PAP. I needed to adjust both the IPAP and the EPAP. If you look at the data below, you will notice that increasing pressure can cause central apneas. These are mis-reported as Apneas. My snore index never went to zero as this is a very sensitive measurement, any noises ...

Swift vs. Breeze

I have been using the Swift after viewing all of the good feedback from this forum. I love it and would not use a nasal mask again. Nasal pillows rock!! I strap the tube to the right side of the head gear and it can make it uncomfortable when I lay on that side but that is the only problem I see. I ...
