All those emotions can really get to you. I've read some describe before cpap as a brain fog... maybe your fog has cleared and this is the real you.

It's all about you and nothing about the mask. If you are one to have troubles with tolerating a particular interface, all you can do is try another. I have NEVER found my mask on the floor. I have also tried masks that I hated. Take a look at cpap.com and pick out a nasal pillow unit and try it out...
