I miss the smell of clean sheets as well. Gonna try placing a peice of my favorite dryer sheet next to the filter tonight to cure the new-found nostagia. I know nothing of cheap gas or sodas but, I miss the local arcade. (<---child of the '80's) I miss Sid and Marty Croft shows. I miss trusting my n...

It Ain't Dixie...
Lately my UM FFM has been whistling out of the exhaust vents. It's been very annoying. I have checked the holes very carefully trying to find anything that could possibly be causing this. No dice. It's not so loud as to annoy my wife (she says anything sounds better than the snoring) but it bugs me....

Interesting Read
I am just posting this as a suggestion for those of us who still feel sluggish during the day and are not aware there are other options in addition to sucking wind: http://www.news-leader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060502/LIFE04/605020311/1004/LIFE I was also reading (and have been told) eatin...

Thank you for the feedback folks. I don't think the straps are too tight. There are hardly any imprints anywhere else. The moleskin sounds like a great idea. I will be looking into that. As for pillows, I am funny about them... I need 2 under my head at all times and they need to be firm. This might...

UMFF Swelling and Deep Imprint
Lately I have been sleeping so well that I don't even feel it happening. I sleep on my side. I have tried sleeping on my back to avoid this, but I end up on my right side every time. Perhaps its an issue with the pillows I'm using. I don't know. What happens is the frame of the plastic, the ridge, d...

could you take a pic of what you did with the foam pillow and share it with us Absolutely. Well, I'll try... It's a bit of a crude cutout http://home.comcast.net/~angelandtom/wsb/media/156458/site1026.JPG But it works for me and is quite comfortable http://home.comcast.net/~angelandtom/wsb/media/15...

The goal for CPAP air should be as *few* contaminants (chemicals and particles) as possible. The goal for my CPAP is to open my airway when I inhale. I'm not talking about going overboard and soaking the filter in an oily perfume. Just a dab AWAY from the filter so the aroma is something different ...

Just to follow up from the 2nd night, I slept like a rock. I don't think I moved from my right side all night given the pain in my shoulder and the mask print on my face. I thought the CPAP had turned off sometime during the night because when I woke up I could not hear anything. I figured I had a m...

Will, you are correct with the donut assumption. It just needs to be the same shape as the mask. Everything on the mask still stays intact. The foam just gets placed on top of the (silicon?) seal, then to the face. Kurt, this ould not be the first time for me "McGyvering" and certainly not the last....

Mask Experiment Success
I have been using the Ultra Mirage FF mask for about a week. This has been most uncomfortable and have had some kind of problem each night from taking the thing completely off to taking it apart in my sleep. ( I found the little rubber exhaust piece under my pillow ) I reached the point of split nig...

3rd night the mask was much more comfortable. I cut 2 rectangles out of the gel inserts and slipped them in front of the plastic rubber supports on the headgear after strapping the mask on. Talk about night and day! Very comfortable. Now I just need to figure out how to make it permanent. I had to g...
