Re: How to dry the hose
There's the big long hose then the little one that is near my face. I hardly ever wash the big one but I don't use the humidifier so I doubt much if any moisture gets in there, not worried about mold. I got a replacement and only washed each one once so far. I swish it around in water with a little ...

Re: React Health logged me out
Yep (863) 226-6285 is the number, option 3 I believe. DO NOT HIT OPTION 9. Option 9 gives you a recording that says "We will not talk to the patient. Go through your doctor." And then goes dead, no way to go back to the other options. You have to hang up and start all over again. After I called back...

Re: React Health logged me out
I guess I have to call Apria on the phone? Unless their window is open, and you live next door. Generally, Apria is not helpful. You might try React Health's Customer Advocate Team - https://www.reacthealth.com/contact-us There are also setup guides on YouTube. Thanks. It's like their system lost m...

React Health logged me out
My React Health phone app which I point to the QR code every morning, says I'm logged out and only get a "Welcome Back, sign in to your account" screen. I try to sign in and it's the wrong password. I try to sign in on the computer and did the "reset password" button and it says it sent me a link to...

Re: sleep med
I agree with the doctor that getting off Ativan is best. I was on it for a time, as well as another benzo. They are bad for you long term. Your instinct to get off them is spot on but it's not easy if you're been on them a while. I got off by titrating the dose down very, very gradually. Are you mal...

Re: Be careful and track how long you pay medicare copay
You may be surprised to learn that Advantage plans are NOT limited to the 13 month capped rental original Medicare does for CPAP. They can require perpetual rental for the life of the equipment. And from what I have observed, most do impose perpetual rental, because they can. Why not? Medicare allo...

Re: Be careful and track how long you pay medicare copay
Thanks for the heads up. I have a Medicare Advantage plan. I've only made one payment, right after I got the machine this January, I got a paper bill for the copay. Since then I have not gotten any bills. I did get one text telling me to call a number to pay for my recent shipment of masks or someth...

Re: Swollen eyes
Thank you. I’ll check it out. It takes most of the day for swelling to go down. I have yet to find that connection between to tight and to loose. I started out with a full face mask and switched to the f30i, which also is a full face mask, but doesn’t cover as much as the f30. Truly a lot of trial ...

Re: Swollen eyes
I was having a lot of swelling around my eyes while using the AirTouch N20 nasal mask, which rested up on the bridge of my nose. Then I got what the doctor said was early shingles near my eye, and along my nose on my cheek. I am NOT saying the swelling had to do with the shingles. They put me on ant...

Re: Help! Shingles on face need new mask ASAP
It's worth remembering that any doctor can write the script for a CPAP mask. And you can ask for the script to include unlimited refills. Ask for a hard copy of the script so that you can upload it to on-line sites that require a script to buy a mask. The fact that insurance isn't going to pay does...

Re: Help! Shingles on face need new mask ASAP
I think I have found a solution without having to buy new masks (shout out to Pugsy's kind offer!) Last night I changed back to the small size nasal mask (I had switched to medium for some reason) and the smaller one did not reach the rash so I think this is going to work. I'll give it a few nights ...

Help! Shingles on face need new mask ASAP
I've been using a nasal mask (over the bridge of my nose) successfully and suddenly yesterday I developed what the doctor says is shingles right alongside my nose and cheek and up to my eye. I can't stand to have the mask on and had to sleep without it last night. Even wearing my glasses is painful....

Re: Seeking help with long term fatigue issues / insomnia
Yeah believe it or not there's actually zero treatment available on the public health system here for insomnia! Not even CBT-I. I had to get that while living in Germany a couple of years ago. We have quite a strange mix of public and private - surgery or emergency treatment is basically free or ve...

Re: Seeking help with long term fatigue issues / insomnia
It's indefensible that your public health system won't investigate your insomnia. There are many factors that could be contributing that could be detected in bloodwork and corrected. I have had chronic insomnia since I was a child (I'm 68 now) and I've gone through a lifetime figuring out these vari...
