Re: Dental Bone graft top front teeth shifting due to N20 - options?
an implant moved? How long did the bone graft heal before they put in the mount and your new teeth? I had one molar implant done and it took one year to complete. They did a bone graft and let it heal for 6 months. After the hole was drilled and the screw put into the bone. They let that heal anothe...

Re: Newbie-almost 2 months along, managing ok, (sorta), but CA questions.
LBGEE, we should always strive to get rid of all apnea’s. But CA’s occupy an area of therapy that is the polar opposite in treatment. The higher pressure sometimes needed to treat OA’s, H’s along with using higher EPR to tamp down flow limitations. Will set up the conditions for bringing CA’s front ...

Re: Newbie-almost 2 months along, managing ok, (sorta), but CA questions.
Three things. 1, Having CA's show up right after starting pap therapy is quite common. The cause? You are now having air shoved into your lungs. Your lungs collect O2 and blow off Co2. So with all that air, You are lowering your Co2 levels much more than prior to pap therapy. 2, When asleep your bra...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
One thing for sure nocibur. Getting beyond that last hurdle that's preventing better sleep is akin to shedding lbs in a diet. Sure, the first 50lbs just fell off. But the last 10 are laughing and giving you the middle finger. And of course, everyone around you is telling you. You did great loosing 5...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
When I see clusters of flow limitations like yours, I wonder if they are sort of positional "apnea" related. I put apnea in quotes as they were not 10 second events. But many of your flow limitations seem to line up with your 8 second user flagged events. Are you on your back during some of the flo...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
Expat31. Sure that routine can find stuff, but they're just throwing spaghetti against the wall. They need to reverse the process. Identify a toxic event and then set up parameters to determine prevalence. IMO that routine was designed ONLY to quickly identify subclinical apneas and hypopneas. Well...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
I have noticed that after all the hard work on practicing good sleep hygiene, getting my dry eyes fixed and getting my settings to where I rarely have a pressure increase from minimum of more than 1cm. That dry eye condition was a HUGE factor in my history and frustration of sleep disruption despite...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
Pugsy. Most of my CA's seem to be of the low Co2 type. I generally will have a max of 1-2 CA's that look to be real centrals on my Flow Rate chart. So not fussed about them. Turned up the pressure last night from 12 to 12.4 and the user events increased dramatically. But the CA's went down by more t...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
it's simply looking more aggressively for apneas and hypopneas. Especially since they dropped their default to 8 seconds. I mean, you could keep PWing till you got like 2000 events per night... Not sure what PWing means. But I'm sure it was meant as a pejorative. So if I'm still getting sleep disru...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
I think we have a miscommunication. I was actually asking about how does one treat those 60% flow restrictions. Esp as I'm already at EPR-3 on the airsense 11. Wondering if moving to the Aircurve 11 V/auto might allow me to change the point of the inspiratory pressure increase to stent my airway. It...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
Here you go. My sleep study was a class 1 in lab and showed only 2 Central Apneas and 2 mixed. In the last week I have had several nights with no apneas at all. So it seems consistently inconsistent.

Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
First a bit of back story. Had a sleep study late last summer. Found I have moderate sleep apnea. Which consisted of the following. AHI-22 OA-3 Mixed-2 Central-2 Hypopnea-101 So hypopnea's are my kryptonite With the help of many folks working with me and through OSCAR. My AHI is down to .77 average ...
