Re: Masks need to be larger AND tailor made
I understand you to say you are a petite African-American woman with a small head, normal nose and small mouth. I am not sure what a “normal”nose is, so we are left to guess on that point. For the hybrid full face masks, sizing is largely dependent on the width of your nose. When you use the manufac...

Re: Is this weird or am I overreacting?
The F30i flows well. Are you sure that you have it adjusted right under your nose so that it is not blocking a nostril? Other than that, are you using the ramp up feature on your CPAP? I treat at 10 and do not like the ramp feature. If you have the ramp on, you might try turning it off.

Re: Wash Before First Use???
I’ve always been in the open & use camp. Sounds like this is not abnormal. Thanks.

Wash Before First Use???
Do y’all wash masks and hoses prior to first use? At the sleep study, they just opened the package and used it. I am just curious what is normal practice.

Yup, but I’ve never met an actuary that was not parsimonious with company funds.Pugsy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:19 amEver hear of a movie called "Pollyanna"?Shutterbug57 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:05 aminsurance companies are not being generous but their decisions are based on the lowest cost model.

Re: How often do you actually replace your CPAP mask/headgear?
Pugsy. I have a question for you relating to this. I noticed you said a brand new mask can leak. I have a terrible time with mask leaks. I have tried many different ones. I am currently using the F40 with pretty good luck. I recently changed out entire mask and it is leaking every night up around 3...

Re: How often do you actually replace your CPAP mask/headgear?
My insurance pays for: - headgear every 6 months - frame every 3 months - tube every 3 months - mask itself every month I am using the F40 and assume that the insurance companies are not being generous but their decisions are based on the lowest cost model. Infections from dirty gear are probably mo...

If you are running a Mac and IPad, can you store the data in the iCloud and have access to your data from either a Mac or iPad or is this a Mac only software in the Apple ecosystem?

I’d suck it up and carry on. YMMV.

Re: Is my ResMed AirSense 10 Auto Working and Migrating to Airfit F30
Be sure you have the right size mask on the F30. I have an F30I and it fits great With the medium mask, but hurts my nose with the large. Alternatively, you could try the F40 as there is no hard part to hurt your nose. As with the 30, be sure to get the right size mask for the 40 or you will end up ...

ResMed F40 Quiet Air Vent
I would like to replace the vent ring on my F40 mask. To do this,I would like to buy the vent as an independent item. It appears that I can do that in Britain or in Australia, but I have yet to find anywhere where I can purchase the vent in the United States. Does anybody know where I can find that ...

Re: Old Machine Still Useful?
It's not that used in my opinion, so here what I am thinking. >If your insurance is covering a new machine then go for it, and keep the old one as a backup, you never know when or who might need it. If it wasn’t recalled, I would agree with you. However, the reason for the recall is that an interna...

Re: Old Machine Still Useful?
What machine are you using currently? Philips machines have been recalled. More here: https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare/e/sleep/communications/src-update I strongly recommend that you get a nice new Airsense 10 VAuto machine. Thanks for the info. I registered my machine for the recall. I have ...

Old Machine Still Useful?
I pulled out my old CPAP machine to see exactly what it is I have. It is a Phillips, System One Respironics, BiPAP Auto, Bi-flex machine. It has been about a decade since it has been used, and there is no data on the SD card and no therapy data in the machine. The machine appears to work, and it is ...
