sleepyZach was asking for help for the reason that he was waking up.
I offered a suggestion that might help.
ResMed underscores flow limitations, imo.

Re: Why Am I Waking Up??
This higher minimum pressure may help with these unscored flow limitations, flattened breath tops and the short obstructive apneas, under 10 seconds. This might have been what woke you up.

Re: Why Am I Waking Up??
Welcome, Please post a copy of your sleep report with your info redacted. Your minimum pressure is too low for an adult , raise it to at least 7 cm. This higher minimum pressure may help with these unscored flow limitations, flattened breath tops and the short obstructive apneas, under 10 seconds. T...

Re: Machine is happy. Oximeter isn't.
AHI only includes events 10 seconds or longer, but your body does not care, events 7,8 or 9 seconds can effect your ODI as can flow limitations. So, even short apnea events can lead to drops in oxygen saturation, contributing to a higher ODI. You could set user flags in Oscar and possibly get helpfu...

Re: Treating flow limitations not logged by ResMed
When I see clusters of flow limitations like yours, I wonder if they are sort of positional "apnea" related. I put apnea in quotes as they were not 10 second events. But many of your flow limitations seem to line up with your 8 second user flagged events. Are you on your back during some of the flow...

Re: Is my ResMed AirSense 10 Auto Working and Migrating to Airfit F30
Did you have CAs during your sleep study, if so your machine will not treat those. Can you post a copy of your sleep study with your personal info redacted? I turn my machine off when I wake up, I do not use the smart off/on feature. Therefore I always have the benefit of the ramp feature if I want ...

Re: Is it worth buying a backup machine?
I was able to replace the "foamed" motor air chamber with a foamless one in my recalled Dreamstation 1 and used that instead of my formaldehyde off gassing Dreamstation 2 until my new DME brought me a Resmed AirSense 11. I am working on getting a foamless motor air chamber for my Dreamstation 2. I m...

Re: Airsense 10 shows <2 AHI still wake up with headache
Making large changes to pressure is not good, you might experience other symptoms, ie Aerophagia and have extreme stomach pain. I am not sure that EPR does much when your minimum is only 4 cm. Maybe a more experienced person can help here with. Many say that value is too low for an adult. How long h...

My CPAP supplier only carries the Slimline 15mm CPAP tubing, I had to buy more own 19mm tubing.
I didn't have the breathing issue you had. Good luck

Georgio,
You are welcome, I wanted you to have enough info to make a safe decision. I am so disappointment with Phillips. I used their machines from 2018 to July 2024.

Re: Why’s AirSense 10 spewing white flakes, out of the blue left air exhaust?
All of these threads are from the same author, in a short timeframe, probably from the same machine. Maybe the inside of the machine had dry flakes and the motor housing was also filthy. If it is the same machine, these should be combined and hopefully minimize the confusion.

Maybe this thread should be combined with another concerning the grime found in the seal blower motor and the thread about soaking the motor in isopropyl alcohol? Was the grime the source of the flakes? https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=189043&p=1461736#p1461736 https://www.cpaptalk.com/v...

D.H.
His was a "Recertified" unit that had 4 hours on it". No one mentioned that the Dreamstation 2 was recalled, but there is info that should be shared about the formaldehyde levels.

Re: First Attempt With New DreamStation 2
I had to put my DreamStation 2 away after reading articles about the formaldehyde, you may want to read this. https://www.propublica.org/article/philips-recall-machines-chemicals-of-concern Phillips said their test show low amounts of formaldehyde. https://www.philips.com/a-w/about/news/archive/stan...
