Re: brain eating amoeba
This is called Naegleriasis and is caused by water getting into your olfactory nerve. Note I say water, and not water vapor. Unless you are introducing water into your nasal passages, the chances of contracting Naegleriasis through a cpap machine is non-existent.

Re: New User - Nasal Mask Gets Sweaty?
I have been through quite a few masks. Fisher & Paykel HC407 Resmed Mirage Activa Philips Respironics ComfortLite 2 Philips Respironics Comfortgel Blue Resmed N10 Resmed P10 The worst mask I used by far is the Mirage Activa, followed by the ComfortLite 2. I love the F&P HC407, but the silicon coated...

Re: Just got my CPAP Today
First night went great! Nasal pillows fit like a glove and I don't even remember falling asleep. Woke up 30 minutes before my alarm went off. I didn't wake up feeling super refreshed, but I did noticed I didn't feel exhausted... so it's a start!! It's amazing how much of a difference a properly fit...

I used to use the comfortgel blue nasal mask. I switched to the P10 and I don't look back.

Re: New User - Nasal Mask Gets Sweaty?
It sounds like you are experiencing rainout. The climateline hose helps significantly with this. With the climateline hose you can set your climate control to auto and eliminate rainout. Re: SleepyHead Software
That's a response, but it did not answer OP's question: is his 2-year old version the latest? This happens all the time here, and it is not always a bad thing to give the OP info other than what was sought. I'm just remarking how common it is. It can come across as "I don't actually know the answer...
