Yup, my insurance co. is paying $68 towards my new $89 didgey! They called my doctor to ask about it and they called back after a meeting the next day to say it is newly covered under "therapeutic accessories". I have a PPO with Blue Cross and they wanted a copy of my receipt along with my doc's scr...

Wow! Lots of great articles in magazines this month about the didgeridoo helping to releive symptoms of OSA. One is in the current issue of Mens Health, and one in Health magazine. The one in Men's Health focuses on "strange cures that really work" and it's got some other ineteresting remedies that ...

Here we go again. Two fellas completely off topic over an off topic post. I must say, however, that if someone reading this thread doesn't have any appreciation for the didgeridoo (or respect for those that play for fun and/or therapeutic reasons) should be nice or go away. Naturally, L.A.Outback wi...

"Circular" breathing
Let's call "circular breathing" CB for short. The term conjures up a seemingly impossible physio-mechanical feat. You obviously can't breath in and out at the same time... What you're actually doing is using your mouth/tongue like a bellows to push a tiny bit of air OUT, while simultaneously grabing...

To get my original post back on track... Those of you that are currently playing the didge for OSA, how often and how long do you play each day/week, and do you use the "circular breathing" technique? I believe that the circular breathing technique is what strengthens and tightens everything in the ...

Congrats on your didgeridoo. I started this thread a while back and I'm so happy to read all of the good responses. I've started listening to didgeridoo music at night, too. The drone of the didge creates a sort of harmony with the hum and buzz of my machine. I bought a CD called "Brain Massage" by ...

If you want to make your own didge from pvc pipe, just be sure that you hose it out REALLY WELL before muking around on it. The ones from L.A.Outback are 2" diameter and about 4 feet long, and they somehow form the mouthpiece into a perfectly comfortable shape and size right out of the same pipe (no...

Oh yeah, and you don't have to spend a lot of money on your first didgeridoo to learn how to play. I have 3 now (one low in pitch, one high pitch and one in the middle). My first one cost me $89 that I got from an outfit in California called L.A.Outback: http://www.laoutback.com Great guys there and...

I think it really started to help after I lerned the "circular breathing" technique. It took me about two weeeks to figure that little trick out. Some people learn it fast and some try too hard and push themselevs rather than having fun with it, which slows down the learning. When you play didgerido...

Funny, I've been logged into this forum all day to see if I can find any other didgeridoo players here with my same experience, but all I get is people wondering if my original post is spam. Whaa? I AM NOT A COMPUTER PROGRAM! Anyway, thanks for reading, but if you don't have a valid, interesting, or...
