Re: Humidifer questions.. Resmed 10 Airsense

Would you say you can personally still smell the vinegar, or is it almost barely noticable? how strong do you find the smell once you have rinsed it out?

Re: Humidifer questions.. Resmed 10 Airsense

If you choose to only ever wash the Humidifer water tank with water and never any soap or vinegar, could that increase a risk of any bateria, pathogens, viruses in the tank since maybe water isnt cleaning it thoroughly enough? Also i really have my doubts with Vinegar as it has such a strong potent s...

Re: Holiday/Vacation Usage Importance & Cleaning......

I spoke to another tech , who said using wipes are fine so long as they dont contain much or any alcohol The Resmed 10 offical user guide/book that comes with the machine states Please note : Using wipes to clean your cushion will leave a film that may affect your mask fit. My Mask fit seems ok, alt...

Re: Holiday/Vacation Usage Importance & Cleaning......

I've been told by my sleep technicans that i should not be using any kind of wet or dry wipes/ cloths etc as these could leave tiny fibres (invisible to the eye) on the mask cushion which you could end up breathing in. I asked about wet mask wipes for cleaning convinence and they told me no, just wa...

Re: Holiday/Vacation Usage Importance & Cleaning......

Robysue would that present any respiratory or health risks? In my opinion there's a much more significant health risk to not bringing the machine on a three week trip. Distilled water is available almost everywhere, although quite frankly, many of us will use any potable water in a pinch for the hea...

Re: Some general CPAP questions....

When you turn it off and on in the middle of the night and it starts lower it may be doing 'ramp' mode. You can turn that off or shorten the period. Ramp is frequently set for new users so they can adjust to the cpap easier. I think most experienced users turn it off after not very long. Yes Ramp m...

Re: Some general CPAP questions....

A word about frequent nighttime urination (that we can't blame on the prostate or fluid intake) is that one should also evaluate blood sugar because an elevated blood glucose can be associated with diabetes and cause frequent urination. So if you have no joy with reducing fluids and still have to p...
