Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

I have been dropping the pressure. I'm down to 19/14 at the moment. Still falling asleep just fine. https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/2f9b8b57-0a4d-4f3a-a4e2-ac9740ab16c5 All in-lab sleep tests are booked out till August. I took one but I'm going to have to wait. I am on a list if there a...

What's different between 7/24 and now?
Well, several things. I'm on bilevel and not CPAP, I'm on a higher pressure, I'm on a fixed pressure, and despite my daytime sleepiness, I know I'm sleeping better than I did those early days.

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

BTW while you're waiting for the recording oximeter to get there, try this test: Lie down, rest quietly, then measure O sat. Then put the xPAP on, let it equilibrate for 1-2 minutes, then check O2 sat again. I tried this test. It was 95% before I put the machine on and and 95% after I put the machi...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

Oh OMT: lose some weight. I was actually about to mention this. The reason I think I do have OSA is because there have been some positive things since I started therapy. It has been much easier to lose weight, my blood pressure has gone down and I was having derealization symptoms that have mostly ...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

This is the night that your oximetry showed 174 desaturations and an ODI (which extrapolates to an AHI) of 31.6: If that's the norm, does that indicate that I would need supplemental oxygen? I'm so confused as to why the doctor wasn't concerned at all. Can you recommend an affordable oximeter that ...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

Is there a way to get the data from OSCAR to sleephq? I don't have the original SD card and when I try to export from OSCAR, it's just a CSV text file. Yup. Create a new account. Might need a new email. Load the same files requested in the info box. They are probably in Explorer>Documents>OSCAR_Dat...

Well, if you feel like it, load some first week of August stuff into SleepHQ.

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

Managed to get into my old computer. The CPAP data is still on OSCAR. Here's the overview.

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

Except... If you happen to be living in Colorado Springs. Oxygen starts behaving a little funnily at ~90% saturation. Small changes in oxygen levels (PaO2) result in much larger changes in O2 saturation than say at 95%. In addition, breathing is normally controlled by PCO2 (and pH). However, once y...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

I don't have an oximeter that you can wear at night and upload data from. It's just one of the cheap ones that clamp down on your finger. I did find my oxygen test from when I was first on cpap. I know that I did one on bipap too and the results were pretty much the same. What I was told is that my ...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

... I do have an oximeter. When I check it, it's usually 95% which I'm told is normal for my altitude. OK but you should wear it at night on therapy and load the results into Oscar. The report said "Sleep Related Hypoxemia" so that's what needs to be monitored. It's especially important to do if yo...

Do you have an oximeter?
I mistakenly said I don't in a now deleted post but I remembered I do have an oximeter. When I check it, it's usually 95% which I'm told is normal for my altitude.

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

It is worth mentioning that I never felt as tired before CPAP though. Yeah to go from AHI 60 to 0.0 and feel worse? No sense. Need real PSG. I've been trying to reach my sleep doctor today to get one scheduled. Also waiting to hear back on the data. In the meantime, I'm thinking of trying to figure...

Re: I'm Back and Looking for More Help

How pissed am I after I just lost a 50-line post. Rookie. God's will I guess. All I want to fix is the daytime sleepiness. Yeah we gotta talk about that. ess.jpg Isn't the ESS supposed to be a survey where they ask me questions? They never did that. They just posted that score with the sleep test. ...
