Re: Finally slept through the whole night....

How Long have you been trying now? Monday is 2 weeks for me and I've had the same "problem". I kept feeling something tapping on my ankles and it was my ass (it was dragging) . Many people here have mentioned REM rebound and I believe that to be at least part of it. Do you have an apap? Software? I'...

Before I got my own software and reader, I took my card to the DME and he printed a compliance report and that was about it. Needless to say I was underwhelmed. Anyway, I go back to work and 20 minutes later the guy calls me and says "I found the real report!" He actually drove to my office right th...

My machine was set at the standard 4-20. Since i ve had it I don t think I have been below a 7 ahi. I suppose I could set the lower range up a bit to see if it lowers ahi. But I figured 5.5-19 was about right. It was at 16 but graph disappeared some nites on top end. Most nites i m over 10. I think...

Bug in Encore Pro???

I've noticed the same thing. It appears to round (nearest int) if I look at it daily. I'll pay more attention and see if I can figure out whats going on over multiple days.

BTW, AHI = 0.1? Are you serious? I was joyus at finally getting it down to 4.8 last night...

I cheat my cpap every night. I hook it to my goat. After all, goats are about the same size as humans. Thats why their milk is better for you than cows milk. While it thinks I'm sleping I'm really down at Joes bar sucking down the suds. The goat sleeps well tho. I tell it I'm training it to go into...

snore index and sleep quality

Does anyone know or have a theory about how much the Encore Pro "snore index" affects sleep quality? Is it as important as say OA and H or not important at all?

Re: Reading Encore pro data

snip---- 5. Snore = The Index displays the total number of snoring events per night. This often correlates with the severity of airway obstruction and apnea. See Notes below. Is this correct? The snore index is the total per night and not average per hour like the other average indices? Where does ...

Well, could be rem rebound, but sounds more like you are not getting enough sleep cuz you are waking up all the time... What is waking you up? If it is getting used to the mask, might talk to your doc about a sleep aid. (Maybe even just 50mg Benedryl.) Good Luck! What exactly is "rem rebound"? I wa...

What do you have the pressure set at, and what was your titrated pressure? Its also possible that with the masks not fitting correctly that you aren't getting enough pressure because of leaks. Pressure range is 6 to 14. Now that it doesn't leak (I think it doesn't) it usually runs from 8 to 10. Whi...

1 week and more tired?

Hello, I've been on cpap (remstar auto) for a week now. After struggling with various masks etc I feel like its coming together (I can sleep most of the night) I have been 100% compliant even with lousy fitting masks and waking up an extra 10 times a night. The confusing thing is that I feel MORE ti...
