The maximum hose air temp is 86 degrees F. Your own body temp is going to be around 98 degrees F. So when just touching the hose with your hand the hose is going to feel cooler than your own hand. The heated hose is never going to feel warmer than your own body temp....or anywhere close to your 98 ...

Should a heated tube actually feel warm to the touch?
I have posted this note to the manufacturer as well and have not heard back, but I am curious -- I bought the ClimateLineAir™ Heated Tube for AirSense™ 10 and have been using it for about a week. To the touch, it is room temp at best, definitely not what I would call warm. Is this correct? Just maki...
