MED is short for Median:
To find the median: Arrange the data points from smallest to largest. If the number of data points is odd, the median is the middle data point in the list. If the number of data points is even, the median is the average of the two middle data points in the list.

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 tank does not hold enough water! How do I get rid of the smell?
Giant leaks blow the water away. Tubs that have been boiled dry need a vinegar soak, a good toothbrush scrub, and a good rinse. Remember that smell... it should wake you immediately... it does me. The machine that keeps your tub filled is called CSpring and costs about 260$. It is better to fix your...

Frickin' website ate my pearls of wisdom! I'd been putting it all on Clipboard before posting... forgot to... oops. POS. Summary... you had a bad desat related to OSA. Your pressure needs to go up. Lowering your EPR will effectively do that too. I prefer SleepHQ because we get to see the whole night...

There is no password... it is an application, not a website. Have you installed it? Then just run it. Does it ask for a password? Then it's not real Oscar... you may have downloaded malware.
The real Oscar is always at:

Re: Woke Up Gasping
Hi All, First post for me. Need some help with a wake-up last night urgently pulling off my F20 and gasping. I tape my mouth so was breathing heavily through my nose and was able to recover without removing the tape. I spent about a minute catching my normal breathing before replacing the mask and ...

Neither Medicare nor UHC PPO required a study, it's up to your doctor... doing another bare-knuckle study is torture for someone that's been years on the hose. My doctor wanted it, so I thought I could take three Benadryl and get it done... no way Jose`. One Ambien would not have been enough either....

Re: Help required to reduce AHI and Aerophagia
Thanks for your response vandownbytheriver. Thanks for the info on MAD. One potential issue with this for me is that I currently wear teeth aligners and will be on a nightly retainer soon. I'm not sure if this would prevent me from being able to use such a device? Up to your dentist. Normally they ...

Your pressure is moving around a lot... this means the machine is seeing problems (snore, OA/H, FL) and pumping your pressure up. Best to just set a pressure that stops most of these problems. I'd start working your min pressure upwards, looks like it wants 11cm. A more constant pressure gives your ...

Re: Motorcycle camping with ResMed AirSense11
Inverters add another level of inefficiency... you're wanting 12v to 24v conversion... no need to hit 120VAC in between. Turn off any hose heat or humidifier functions to minimize battery drain, of course. The Resmed solution is not cheap... the Amazon vendors have much cheaper options. You will sti...

Water vapor is generated in the chamber... entirely normal to see condensation on the walls, they're not heated. The hose is heated to prevent the vapor from condensing until it gets in your airway. Masks with a short tube attached (pillows, Evora, etc) have a non-heated place for condensation to ha...

Re: Help required to reduce AHI and Aerophagia
From looking at my graphs from the past few days, my hypopneas appear to be worse as my pressure goes higher (here's a great example - https://sleephq.com/public/a00ec008-aad5-4f3e-8da1-817eaf26922c). Is this normal, and would it be worth decreasing my pressure a bit to see if this helps (while als...

O2Ring artifacts normally show up in pulse, the O2 will stick to previous readings while the pulse will go high in my experience. No clue what O2 monitor you're using. You mostly quit breathing for 30 seconds... yes, that's a real desat IMO. The machine did not call it a CA because there was some at...

We don't know your machine... if you're on the Airsense 11 there's a known hose connection leak issue, workaround is to face the unit *away* from you, don't pull the hose to one side. I've found the Vitera cushion responds to cleaning... both your face and the cushion. Also I use Simplus headgear wi...

Re: Insurance Fraud? Airsense 10 and ROTECH.
Either get a lawyer or sign under duress, or both? Looks like you're over a barrel. What was the agreement for the previous machine? Are you paying something out of pocket otherwise? These machines don't often have problems... do they have you on auto-pay? Just crazy that they require a new machine,...
