Re: Rough First Night On Bi-level
Thanks for the speedy reply, Pugsy. Purchased the ST device second hand and did research on how to go about a multi-night titration. I am working with a doctor but my bi-level sleep study is scheduled months out and was hoping to improve my sleep quality between now and then :) From your questions, ...

Rough First Night On Bi-level
Hi all, About 5 months into CPAP journey and have made a lot of progress. Have been using Airsense 11 with pressure at 11 and EPR at 3, which has been yielding pretty great results (AHI ~1) but have been dealing with two issues: 1) Breath shape on Oscar was somewhat flat/choppy and needed to be more...

Okay to use used Bipap machine?
Hi all, I've been struggling with aerophagia and CAs and have reached out to my doc to get a sleep titration study done for bilevel. This is scheduled many months out so I picked up a used Aircurve 10 from FB marketplace. I've purchased new tubing and a new a humidifier chamber, but is there anythin...

Re: Breas Z2 Not Blowing enough air
Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel exactly the same way about my Z2. Curious if you feel like the pressure is too high when you're breathing out as well?

I have. I think I actually may be in between an L and M - will keep tinkering till I figure it out.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 4:45 pmHave you studied some YouTube videos on fitting and adjusting this mask model?slowmo2000 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 7:27 amI use a p30i nasal pillow (size large) and now it seems to be the source of my leak.

Re: Feel better with worse graphs
Good context. Luckily, I've never been a huge desat person - just a ton of reras/fragmented sleep when not on CPAP. I'm getting mild aerophagia at 13 but trying to pick my battles in terms of what to figure out/solve next.

Feel better with worse graphs
Hi all, Another question for the group: does anyone feel better with worse Oscar graphs (a bit more jagged breathing vs flat breathing lines)? I've been trying to dial in my treatment and was tinkering with pressure, EPR, taping. I've noticed that when I was on EPR3 (pressure 12), I would get these ...

Pillow Replacement Timing
Hi all, I've been diagnosing/trying to fix leak. Initially, I was having issues with mouth leak. Thanks to this forum, I've got the mouth tape technique down. I use a p30i nasal pillow (size large) and now it seems to be the source of my leak. Curious to know how often these should be replaced befor...

Re: Are these Central Apneas and what to do about them?
I'm not sure how people get to good CPAP results without this forum. SO HELPFUL!!!!vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 8:20 amI've found I can induce CA's by turning on EPR/PS at my normal therapy pressure... while awake. Try it, it's instructive. You need to be asleep to have FL's pop up... CA's only care about blood pH.

Re: No humidity mouth taping but still leaking
Makes sense. I've been doing the three strips of tape and that seems to have solved mouth leak for me (TYSM!). I still get some leak but I think it's just mask position as I'm moving around at night.

Re: Are these Central Apneas and what to do about them?
About all you can try with your current machine is to reduce or eliminate EPR in an effort to reduce the number of centrals and that will ONLY work if EPR is the cause of your centrals and ONLY if you were for sure asleep and not awake when they got flagged. Some people have centrals pop up due to ...

Are these Central Apneas and what to do about them?
Hi all, Thanks to this group, I'm finally getting leak under control. The next question I have is whether the Central Apneas being flagged are 1) accurate 2) how do I treat them? For context, prior to mouth taping and my pressure being at 12 - 13, I was way under pressure 5 - 7 and wasn't having man...

Yep, makes total sense. I'm trying to do the same unless I absolutely feel I'm ready to get up.

Re: [Long Post] Am I getting enough sleep?
This is so helpful! Thank you, both. I will start logging the questions you posed, Miss Emerita. I'll also make sure to share the relevant Oscar information you outlined. Judging sleep quality at night makes a ton of sense. Thank you, Chicago Granny! In regard to sleep schedule. I find it very diffi...
