Re: Help with Aircurve 10 ST

Additional question regarding the Ti Max. When I look at my history in OSCAR I see that my Insp. Time over the month prior when I was on CPAP with a fixed pressure of 9 my median was 2.2 and the 95% was 3.6. Should I change my Ti Max from 2.5 to something higher? Like 3 or 4? It seems like with it s...

Help with Aircurve 10 ST

So I’m 10 months into my CPAP journey with 0 results at present. I started with CPAP with a 5-20 range and over the next 9 months tried any sort of variation from EPR of 0 to 3, v-com, 4 different masks, fixed pressure at all sorts of different pressure, different variable pressure and per my apple ...

Re: Mouth breathing?

Do you know what big gulps of air look like? Do you know what asleep breathing looks like? I think so. The asleep breathing is my very uniform looking breathing going back and forth from -20 - 20. The big gulps would be a big spike up I believe? Is a big gulp happening at 10:45:36? So you think I w...

Re: Mouth breathing?

So are you saying that nearly all my apnea events are false positives since the vast majority of them seem to occur when my sleep stage is listed as awake? Also, what made you conclude that I'm waking up first and then getting the false positives rather than the event causing the wake up? I was gues...

Re: Mouth breathing?

Based on this: https://sleephq.com/public/f22d7d52-9a0 ... 67bc56e111
if you zoom in to 10:40 - 11:00 ish. and looking at the breathing compared to the sleep stage, would you say my breathing is waking me up? And thus my apneas are the cause of my constant waking up throughout the night?

Re: Mouth breathing?

Begs the question...what changed to cause the poor sleep quality? Do you take any medications of any kind (even OTC) and if so, what? Any change in dosage of any current meds? Any other physical or mental health issues going on that could mess with your sleep quality? Stress???? Bed comfort??? Mask...

Re: Mouth breathing?

When you say some of the worst sleep I've had in the 1.5 months We assume you mean lots of wake ups?????? If so, any idea why? I don't think you can blame mouth breathing causing failure of therapy as the culprit. Your actual leak line is well within the machine's ability to compensate for. Somethi...

Re: Mouth breathing?

Here are the past 3 days of my OSCAR data: https://imgur.com/a/E3hLs1x Thanks for any help interpreting this and what I can do. Interestingly/sadly these past 3 days are some of the worst sleep I've had in the 1.5 months I've been using the CPAP machine. No idea what changed and why my sleep is seem...

Re: Mouth breathing?

Thanks, I guess I will get some mouth tape to at least rule out if that is or isn't a problem. Though OSCAR should very very little leaking when I've looked at it. I'm just trying to figure out what's going wrong. I've had 19.9 and 15.6 events per hour over the past 2 nights. But the night before th...

Mouth breathing?

How can I tell if I am or are not mouth breathing? I have a nasal mask, and I do wear a mouth piece because my dentist recommended it years ago for night time teeth grinding (which I'm hoping is all related to my sleep apnea) but I don't know how to tell for sure if I am breathing through my mouth o...

Re: Just getting started - advise appreciated

Set hose temp to 78 and no rain out. Kept mask on from 10-5 then ended up sleeping for another 3 or so hours without it on. Can’t say I slept any better though certainly no rainout was a big plus. Next problem is I have the p10 nasal pillow mask and it seems like one of my nostrils gets stuffy over ...

Re: Just getting started - advise appreciated

You have multiple options depending on whether or not your hose is heated or not heated. If you have a heated hose the easiest thing to do is just crank up the hose air temp. I have lots of experience with rain out because I use max humidity and like a cold. I believe I have a heated hose. At least...

Thanks so much for the replies!! 1...Do you take any medications of any kind (even OTC) and if so...what? Name and dosage please. No medications of any kind. 2...Do you have any other physical or mental health issues that might be messing with your sleep quality or causing wake ups? Not that I'm awa...
