Re: Machine Servicing
She received her machine in March 2024 and so far it has been doing well for her, no ICU visits since using it . Great news! I did reach out to ResMed via an enquiry on their website to ask how important it is and how I would even go about it, it will be interesting to see what they say. Thanks for...

Re: Machine Servicing
The machines come with a five year warranty in Australia so long as you sign up for the SleepVantage program. https://www.sleepvantage.com.au/ This tells me the machines will last much longer than five years, and I've never heard of anybody getting them serviced. I had not heard of the SleepVantage...

Re: Machine Servicing
Thank you everyone, seems like it's not much to worry about, I kind of guessed that might be the case but just wanted to check the advice of others here.
Thank you as always

Re: Machine Servicing
Thanks for providing the link. Won't change anything with me though....just another ResMed "recommendation" that I will opt to continue to ignore. I have been on cpap over 15 years now and this is the first time I have heard of this "recommendation". Thank you, I figured the vast majority of ...

Re: Machine Servicing
I have recently read that ResMed recommends the machines be professionally serviced every 6 months to keep them functioning properly, Where did you read this? This is the first I have ever heard of this. I have been using ResMed machines for over 10 years now and I have never had any of them "servi...

Re: Machine Servicing
Is this supposed 6-month service/maintenance protocol written in print in the ResMed manual that came with the machine for home use? Hi there, Thank you for the reply, I haven't checked the user manual yet, but the location I seen the recommendation on was the ResMed website on this page: https://w...

Machine Servicing
Hi there, Just wondering if I could have some advice if possible. My mother is using a ResMed Lumis 150 VPAP-ST bi-level machine which was prescribed to her after multiple trips to ICU for type 2 respiratory failure with Co2 build-up. She received her machine in March 2024 and so far it has been doi...

Re: Question Regarding New Mask
do you know what the setting should be for the Resmed AirFit F30? I can't seem to find if the setting needs to be changed to pillow for that mask or not. On all ResMed masks...and the paperwork literature (That user guide that not many people bother to look at) that comes with masks will usually cl...

Re: Question Regarding New Mask
I noticed that Resmed state you need to change your mask setting in your machine to "Pillows" for the AirFit F40 mask, even though it is a full face mask. There's a reason ResMed wants you to use the "pillows" setting even if the F40 is technically a full face mask. It's important. So just do it if...

Question Regarding New Mask
Hi all, Me again lol, I am sorry for the amount of threads I post but I am still learning and this place is so helpful! My mother is using a Resmed Lumis 150 VPAP ST Bi-level machine with quite high pressures at 20 IPAP / 10 EPAP. She is looking to change from the Fisher & Paykel Evora full face mas...

Re: Machine Clicking Noise
Thank you all for the replies :) I have tried just about everything, can't seem to resolve the issue but luckily for us, the noise doesn't bother her and she sleeps in a room on her own so it doesn't bother anyone else either. I was just concerned mainly that air may be escaping due to the issue and...

Re: Mask Replacement Schedule
Thank you everybody for the replies :) I figured that it would only really be important to replace the items once damage or defects were seen, but just thought I'd check, I do get a bit paranoid when it comes to my mum's health and I tend to stress a bit too much lol. I am not sure how to check the ...

Mask Replacement Schedule
Hi all, Just wondering how important it is to stay strict to the mask replacement schedule? My mother uses a Fisher & Paykel Evora full face mask, the recommended replacement time for it is 6 months. Her mask is currently 9 months old (so 3 months overdue) and seems completely fine, it is washed eve...

Re: Machine Clicking Noise
This occasionaly happens with Air 10/lumis design. The clicking you are hearing is (likely) the humidifier lid opening and closing with the breaths. It can happen when the humidifier isn't fully inserted (firmly push it all the way in) The top lid/ gasket isn't seated properly (take lid of humidifi...

Machine Clicking Noise
Hi all, My mother is using a Resmed Lumis 150 VPAP ST machine and we have noticed that there is quite regularly a loud "clicking" or dull thumping type noise coming from what seems to be the humidifier tub upon inhale and exhale. The noise isn't there all the time, sometimes it's there just upon exh...
