Re: New user introduction
Well that was a short thread. IMO you have a lot of opportunity for DWing. For instance, your machine is spending a lot of the night chasing events. If it's chasing events, then you're having events. The whole idea is to treat/prevent them from happening. At low pressure your inspiratory waveform l...

Re: New user introduction
IMO this is soft palate interference. When you were first examined, did your medical guy take a look down your throat and comment about the structures down there? Thanks for looking this over. The initial exam happened in 2007, so I'm not 100% sure, but that does sound familiar. In 09 I had a devia...

Re: New user introduction
Yeah...it probably would but my thought was give it a couple of weeks and let him get used to the new kind of mask and then go down the "let's zoom in up close" thing only if we really need to. I was looking for a sneak preview as I'll be on hand-held devices for the holiday. Specifically, with the...

Re: New user introduction
I was able to get my LL numbers to 0.0 last night, and I'm really starting to like the new mask. I might be changing too many variables at once, but I did swap my super firm pillow out for my somewhat softer backup pillow. On a side note, it was interesting waking up and actually being able to focus...

Re: New user introduction
Now we can't tell just by looking at this report you shared but it is my first suspect especially since you admit to knowing your sleep isn't great. I think taking a look at that night with SleepHQ might reveal some stuff. Typically, I load Oscar and SleepHQ at the same time and compare. Even thoug...

The learning curve is a vertical climb, so might be longer than that. Lolzonker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:03 pmoh i think you're going to fit right in. i dare say that within a few months, you'll be giving advice!Curious_Steve wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:02 pm

Re: New user introduction
The bulk of your AHI is the CA/clear airway/central apneas and those might be related to more awakenings simply from the newness of the new mask. Sometimes when we are awake the machine mistakes awake breathing for some sort of apnea event and we get flagged for something that happened while awake ...

Re: They laughed at my machine
So today I went to a sleep doc for the first time in maybe 8 years, having moved to a new state. When opened my case to display the Respironics "brick," she laughed out loud! Later her assistant came in the examining room to say she couldn't read my SD card (SleepyHead reads it fine), and she also ...

New user introduction
Hello. Thanks for offering this wonderful site. My name is Steve. I'm almost 49, snored most of my life, and got prescribed a machine back in 2008. I used that ResMed s8 until a couple weeks ago when I upgraded to the AirSense 11. Now that I have access to a stream of data, I've been deep diving int...
