Re: Strictly Rem related disordered breathing? Oscar data.
After consulting with one of the forum's experts, I'd venture a guess that you may sometimes be experiencing palatal prolapse. This occurs when your soft palate and uvula droop down into your pharynx. For this reason, I'd recommend that you see an ENT doctor to see whether this is part or all of yo...

Strictly Rem related disordered breathing? Oscar data.
Hi, I attached photos of my Oscar data as well as the closeups of the flow rate during rem and outside of rem. After a couple years of very poor sleep and insomnia, I had a sleep study, and was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and moderate to severe UARS: (Only 6.2 AHI but an RDI of 23.3/hr (44.5 in ...

Re: Epr and flow limitations
Ynot, if you are still tired despite some improvements in your sleep length and sleep breathing, I wonder whether you need to widen your scope. Sometimes several factors contribute to daytime tiredness. What medications or drugs do you take? Have you had blood tests for thyroid, testosterone (if yo...

I answered your question, keep forgetting to quoteMiss Emerita wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 3:58 pmYes, your flow limitations are definitely better with EPR (as are mine). Do you feel better during the night or during the day? For some people reducing FLs make for a more restful night and rested day; for others it makes no real difference.

Re: Epr and flow limitations
No I feel the same, I'm always tired. I feel about as tired as I felt prior to therapy, but a lot of it is simply insomia. I got 5 hours today, and I feel tired. I believe my tiredness is largely due to sleep deprivation given that I have mild sleep apnea. However, the worst my breathing is, the mor...

Re: Epr and flow limitations
There's some information about FLs here: https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Flow_limitation No amount of pressure support will help FLs that originate in the nose, so I want to focus on the ones that originate further down in the airway, where the tissues that line it can sometimes sag and l...

Re: Epr and flow limitations
It's weird that I've seen people saying that epr helps flow limitation, but I haven't seen anyone explain why. Btw, are we going to be able to attach images soon? Is this something that happens often?

Re: Epr and flow limitations
Flow limitation decreases when I turn epr on. I’ve seen this talked about in this forum. Why is this? As a sidenote, this always happens regardless of the pressure so the difference isn’t because of the pressure change in the examples I put. Why exactly does epr reduce flow limitations? Without sle...

Re: Epr and flow limitations
Yes, it does matter why, quite a lot. It's important to actually understand the issue to solve it I think. Can you see the examples I put? I tried to attach images but I don't see them
