Re: Contact allergy with rubber seals.
Hello I became a CPAP user in November of last year. My first morning after using the CPAP, I looked in the mirror, and discovered heavy red marks on my face. Every where the seals touched my skin reacted and the marks took three days to go away. I talked with the people a the study center, sellers...

Eczema from Full-face Mask
I have eczema and frequently get breakouts on my face after wearing my CPAP. I use a full-face mask with memory foam. Any suggestions for my fellow eczema sufferers to alleviate this problem?

Re: AirSense11 Air Leak
Thanks for this informative, helpful explanation. I don't wake up because of air leaks; only occasionally to make my bladder gladder.

AirSense11 Air Leak
What is an acceptable air leak result on an AirSense11? I get varied results. Last night was a 13L leak. Usually it's a bit less, occasionally a zero. It's bothersome to tighten the straps resulting in too much pressure on my face.

Re: Airsense 11 Water Leak
I had the same issue with a leaking AirSense 11. Had to replace it at 6 months. I think the heating results in cracks in the plastic with resulting leaks

Re: Sensitive Face and CPAP
Yes, most reviews are useless, and as the saying goes: "Your Mileage May Vary" I'm perfectly okay with trial and error to see what works best for me. I went thru three CPAP masks before finding one that was okay.

Re: Sensitive Face and CPAP
I bought a pair of Snugz full-face mask liners. Anyone reading this have experience with this brand? We'll see how it goes, and I'll report back.

Sensitive Face and CPAP
One of the issues I run into in wearing a CPAP is that I have a sensitive face and get occasional skin breakouts. I wear a full face mask because I am a mouth breather and have opted for the AirTouch F20 with memory foam. Generally it does not cause the same kinds of issues that the silicone mask di...

Re: Central Apnea Index
Thanks for your helpful explanation. Last night I had a 2.6 AHI, of which 2.3 was obstructive sleep apnea and 0.3 central sleep apnea.

Central Apnea Index
I have a AirSense 11 machine. I occasionally look at the night's sleep summary and am curious why some of the Apneic Index is Central and some is Obstructive? Does this mean I have both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea?

Distilled Water Machine
It looks like my original post requesting information about making your own distilled water got locked. Thanks to those who responded with purchase suggestions. I bought a a gallon Vevor machine on Amazon, which should pay for itself quickly since my wife and I both use a CPAP and also use distilled...

Prices of distilled water have gone up again and I'm thinking of getting some kind of system to make my own distilled water. Anyone had good luck with a system you are using or know about?

Water Resevoir Question
I use distilled water in my CPAP machine, per instructions. Because distilled water is free of contaminants, why is it necessary to dump it out each day and replace it with more distilled water? Can't you just leave it in and add more water up to the fill line? Alternatively, can you save the used d...
