Re: A slightly different way to avoid chin tucking

I am a big fan of the ECOSA or Bambillo Pillows. Memory Foam construction.

https://www.ecosa.co.nz/pillow

I find them super comfortable and they can be used in different positions to suit individual preferences for head, face and neck position.

Re: Water tank leaking air

How do you tell its leaking air at the tank?

Can you feel it, hear it, see bubbles...???

Knowing where the leak is helps find a fix.

BTW. I assume its clicked closed properly and the hinges are actually connected.

Re: Question about possible mold / bacterial contamination

FWIW I have a range of sanitisers available to me because I brew my own craft beers. Starsan or No Rinse Sanitiser are what I use on my Humidifer Tank a couple of times a week. I shake the tank dry after a soaking and let it air dry upside down. I empty and dry the tank every day same. I use Miltons...

The vertical side holes are definitely open vents thru the elbow.

Re: Whistling Mask_F&P Vitera

Hey Movieman The Vitera mask should have the small pinhole vents as well as 2 side vents on the face side before the valve and hose. These should allow inhalation and exhalation, even if some what slightly restricted. I also had a power outage that woke me but only because I became aware that the co...

Re: Whistling Mask_F&P Vitera

I may have discovered the reason for the whistling mask.

Condensation in the tube and subsequent wet face!!!

Will search for the link to tube temp and humidity adjustment postings.

I think one goes up and one comes down...but which ones ? :?:

Re: Whistling Mask_F&P Vitera

I was waiting to see if there was any other answer to the issue before testing the new mask.

As said...the old mask is less than 30 days useage and seems perfectly good by visual inspection.

Whistling Mask_F&P Vitera

Hi all I have a new RESMED Air sense 10 ( 15 days old) but have been using my previous Vitera mask of about 30 days total useage. (Saving the newer mask cos I hope and trust one gets more than a few months out of a mask!) I will test the new mask soon. Has been perfect until a 4 nights ago when it s...

Re: Jimmy Lotus Therapy Thread

Great to see you are doing well on your therapy. Congrats. How many events did you start at pre therapy? Just curious. FWIW - My take on the whole sleep therapy thing is ....how you feel is more important than the numbers. My respiratory specialist told me that science knows a lot about the value an...

Re: Choosing a mask

They suggested.... we try lowering the pressure and that worked fine. They were prepared to try different masks but I was happy once the pressure was lowered and the OSCAR stats showed exactly what happened when they did. Thing about masks is learning how to control them or what causes issues. eg fa...

Re: In the UK.....Is it my heart, or my sleep-- or both?

Here is my story in a nut shell. Flying international Hawaii back to NZ, I had a faint / collapse on the aircraft on take off. Recovered promptly and was fine to walk off at the end journey although I was met by an ambulance! Got wired up and tested by ambo staff and at a hospital ( aircraft rules e...

Re: Choosing a mask

Mask selection is an essential part of the CPAP solution; a great CPAP machine with perfect settings is not going to help you if the mask doesn't fit. As a newbie, It's not clear how one is supposed to acquire the best mask, both initially and long term. I'm eager to learn from others how they arriv...
