Just an observation...but who is going to tell him..
This is not meant to have any political intent. Dont read anything unintended into it please. I and many others here have experienced the head nodding impact of sleep apnea daytime (anytime) fatigue. Since being diagnosed and treated myself, I have also observed it in friends, family and peers...an...

Re: Problem with Airsense 11.
When your machine is dried out...do you observe any white calcification on the plate in the reservoir? Before I dialed in my temp and humidity settings,... I used to frequently empty the reservoir in a single night and the plate used to develop a slight crust ( which I cleaned) This used to give me ...

Re: Anyone use hose lift or hose buddy system?
I have a pillow on edge against the headboard (wall) behind my sleep pillow.
The tube runs tucked in over the top above my head and descends down over my shoulder...looping to the mask fitting. Simple.

Re: Best Masks for High Pressure Settings
FWIW..IMHO
I do not think over tight straps are the answer to mask leaks (from my own experience)
I think they are designed , soft and flexible, to expand to self seal to your face as the pressure increases.

Give it time for the therapy to kick in.
Your numbers look good so be optimistic and patient.
My afternoon fatigue faded away to nothing after a short while.

Re: Need help deciding between F&P Evora, or the Resmed f40
Worth noting
The F40 is not advised for those with med implants such as pacemakers or defibs....due to the magnets in the straps.
Resmed sent out a precautionary notice to providers apparently and I was told by a providor. I went with the Evora.

Large Leaks and Unclassified Apnea Indexing -OSCAR
I now have Oscar Data from CPAP useage since July 2023 when I started. Something I see is a corresponding relation ship between Large Leaks and Unclassified Apnea . High % LL = High UC events UCs are my major AHI events by far (the others are insignificant) but obviously they all contribute to the A...

Re: Nose clogs up just as I'm falling asleep
Does your mask have a small flap type valve where the hose enters it.
Is that clean ie not sticky?
Just a thought.

Descaling a water tank
Sorry if this tip has been posted before but FWIW I have found the most effective way to remove and clean the white powdery scaling that occurs over time in my ResMed water tank, is by a soak in the descaling solution I use for my Espresso Coffee Machine. 50ml dose of solution in hot water left in ...

Re: One week new to cpap
I am new to this group. I just started to use mine and I am getting better at using it longer. But I wake up with red marks on my face where my mask lays on my face since I'm a side sleeper. Anyone ever use the the satin covers for your straps to help with it? I know this takes time to get used to ...

Re: CPAP while sick with the cold or flu
I could not cope with my CPAP when I had COVID and a 3 week spell of nasal and chesty issues subsequently.
A snotty nose, a cough and sneezing was hell so I abstained from using CPAP.
I did not have any daily fatigues or issue while abstaining.

Defib heart implant and CPAP ...AHI !!!
Defib heart implant and CPAP ...AHI !!! Five weeks ago, soon after a 3 week bout with COVID and Flu, I had a Pacemaker / Defib Implant. During Covid I stopped using the CPAP (by necessity) and restarted promptly after the implant. My AHI events have never returned down to what I was relatively comfo...

Dry Water Tank issue RESMED Airsense 10
Hi I wake with a dry reservoir tank 98% of the time and wonder if my humidity settings need to be set up different. I am also experiencing a lot of dry mouth discomfort, and assuming, most likely after tank runs dry. Usually I get 9 hours plus of sleep or machine use per night. Any thoughts on setti...

I only have ever made minor changes to my original settings that were set up by my clinicians. I dont think they were ever factory defaults.
