Re: Seems Like I have Central Sleep Apnea - Switch to Bipap Worth it?

I work in the DME industry and help PAP patients daily Historically, that has been a big negative in this forum. I can definitely see that. I hear complaints all the time about bigger companies like Apria and Rotech. I work for a smaller company so we emphasize on patient care. I work with Medicare...

I can consult with our respiratory therapist and see if I can get a better answer for you.
Yeah, do that.
Absolutely! Is it just the “post-arousal central” you have questions on or also the different PAP machines?

Re: Seems Like I have Central Sleep Apnea - Switch to Bipap Worth it?

I wasn’t sure if my reply sent but I’ll send it here again. Hi there, I apologize for any misunderstandings. I try my best to explain PAP guidelines to our patients so if I am incorrect, I do apologize for that. Is there a specific part of my statement that you disagree with? I can consult with our ...

Re: Seems Like I have Central Sleep Apnea - Switch to Bipap Worth it?

Post central sleep apnea is basically CSA that occurs during the NREM which are the light stages of sleep. It’s still classified under CSA and falls under the same category. Re: Transitional apnea making CPAP impossible?

Also a follow up to my previous comment, It is normal for OSA patients to have lower oxygen levels. A PAP will usually treat this along with your sleep apnea. That being said, PAP machines are not a direct treatment to low oxygen levels. If you’re still experiencing low oxygen levels while on a PAP ...

Re: Transitional apnea making CPAP impossible?

Hi Wired! I’m sorry to hear that you have difficulties with your PAP machine. I’ve had many patients in the past who struggle with their masks and end up failing compliance because of it. Regarding your claustrophobia, I would recommend trying a nasal pillow mask or a nasal mask if you have not alre...

Re: Seems Like I have Central Sleep Apnea - Switch to Bipap Worth it?

Hi Blaird! I’m quite new on this forum but I work in the DME industry and help PAP patients daily. There’s been quite a few replies here so forgive me if I repeat some information in previous replies. CSA or central sleep apnea is diagnosed through the results of a sleep study. You can get another o...
