Thanks for pointing out the risks - I hadn't thought about that perspective. I'll raise it with my doctor and get their input now.
I do have an oximeter that can record overnight data, maybe I'll start by collecting some data and bring that with me.

Re: Airsense 10: Hose connections always develop leaks, solutions?
Really really appreciate your input here! Definitely am going to increase the frequency of changing the hose to every 2 months now, and maybe more often if needed at least for the time being. I'm going to talk to the patient about the scenario you describe, because if that is what's occurring (it's ...

Self-medicated oxygen supplementation
Has anyone here experimented with oxygen supplementation when not needed by normal medical standards? I have good treatment with minimal leak rates (using the Resmed P10 mask) and under a 1 AHI and have been this way for years now. About 2 years ago, I stopped taking a stimulant that was helping - m...

To my horror, they developed a "solution" by putting a rubber band on it to try and fix that, but it isn't effective based on mask leak data. I suspect the issue is that their body weight is being pl...

Re: When 95/90% leak numbers don't tell all the story
Thank you for making this post - I'm glad it got bumped up. One thing I'd also add is that people adapt. I've had family members who were mouth breathers that adapted to nasal pillows over time. If I had used the data from just the first night, it would have looked bad, but as the weeks and months w...

Miss Emerita, Julie, and Palerider - All three of you gave great responses. I can and will try raising the pressure ranges and changes in the EPR level too. Great ideas. Miss Emerita - thank you for going through each concern. I seriously felt like you were a doctor by the bedside. Thanks for your h...

After 6 years of APAP, any ways to improve quality of life?
I've been using my APAP successfully for about 6 years now and am 35 years old currently. This medication is only really used Monday th...
