Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
I decided to try a 9cm constant pressure as I was concerned that the pressure increases and drops on APAP may have been causing some of my disturbances as well as some of the breathing troubles I've been having at low pressures. It's also possible that at low pressure I may be swallowing air or gaspi...

Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
Thank you for the advice, I was just at my primary but I think I'll have to call him again. I'll work on gradually increasing pressure as well. It seems that my aerophagia problems are still resolved for now, but I'm still having other issues, mainly with waking up multiple times a night and getting...

Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
The actual collar I bought from amazon isn't available anymore but it's quite similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/Velpeau-Brace-Foam-Cervical-Collar/dp/B072Q9QG68 I wear it just tight enough to where I can feel it touching the bottom of my throat and it's enough to keep me from swallowing ai...

Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
I think I came across a breakthrough recently with my therapy. I found a thread online about someone who had similar issues with very severe aerophagia even low pressures, with the same story of the air forcing open their esophagus. They were able to resolve it by simply applying external pressure t...

Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
I've been trying EPR 2 for the past couple of days but it feels very disruptive for my sleep, i've noticed that when the APAP pressure goes down with EPR I start getting very agitated in my sleep. I've thought about setting a static pressure of 7 instead and seeing hwo that would go.

Re: Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
Should I use EPR with a higher max/min pressure or the current settings I'm using?

Aerophagia and low pressures and high heart rate in sleep
Hi everyone, I've been on CPAP since March 2022 and have been dealing with issues from it for the entire time. Mainly, I have pretty severe aerophagia, and will wake up very gassy, often at least 3 times a night. Usually my first wake up is after about 4-5 hours of sleep and I will wake up about eve...

Re: 1 year on CPAP, still very restless sleep
So last night I also tried using the AirFit P10 instead of my usual AirTouch F20 full face mask. I didn't wake up as much during the night and my AHI seemed to really improve. However, I still got about the same amount of aerophagia and slept a lot longer for some reason. In addition, I was getting ...

Re: 1 year on CPAP, still very restless sleep
Apologies for the long absence, had a vacation and then got sick. I've been trying the titration from constant 6.0 pressure and I've found that my aerophagia gets pretty bad as soon as I hit 6.2. Even at 6.0 I still have aerophagia but it doesn't seem to be enough to cause discomfort, but still a lo...

Re: 1 year on CPAP, still very restless sleep
I'm not certain about the movements, but I think in my first sleep study they said there was no indication of restless leg syndrome if that's at all similar.

Re: 1 year on CPAP, still very restless sleep
My primary prescribed my Trazodone for sleep, but I've only used it once. Also Flonase for my sinuses but i've since stopped since my sinuses never gave me any issues. Other health issues i'm not sure about, my mental health feels pretty off but i'm not sure if it's just because i'm really tired. I'...

Ah well, apparently the board attachment quota has been reached so I can't post it.
