I get headaches if the forehead cushion touches my head
But I have the mask so tight that my upper lip gets very sore
AND IT STILL LEAKS

I use cotton balls and rubbing alcohol and clean my face thoroughly prior to donning the torture gear --opps-- mask

Back in the "it's all in your head" days prior to OSA diagnosis, I spent 16 days flat on my back (no bath, shower, or hair washing) in a German hospital where NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH with my liver enzymes out of whack. Believe me you progressively feel lousy when your liver is giving out. So-o-o, I can...

Well, chicken or the egg

I think sleep apnea worsens the existing depression--because when you are tired everything is a mountain (not a molehill--or what do you mean lighten up?)

Take your meds. See the doc; talk to the therapist; use your CPAP.

I have a nice 20'' by 20" wood board (with rims) that I set my CPAP on--with the ambient temperature humidifier next to the CPAP . I know some people put their CPAP on top of the heater, but I prefer the side by side arrangement. A heating pad under the humifier sounds like the ticket--why didn't I ...

you can't sleep with x milli meters of air pressure forced through your nose/mouth??? You will adjust and then dream. It will be lovely. Try sleep aids re: the previous post. I run a room air filtration machine--so the CPAP blower's noise is not heard. I tell myself to relax and go to a beautiful p...

It could also be GERD--acid reflux. My sleep doc also sent me to a Gastroentronogist as I have apneas while awake. OSA will weaken the spinkther that shuts the stomach--you struggle so hard to breathe, that the stomach opens up a bit and the acid comes up the esophagus. Once weakened, the spinkther ...

My cats are very solicitous toward me whenever I have an apnea. All 3 spend the night in the bed--one right at my head (how she doesn't get caught in the tube?) They want to comfort me and calm me down when I have pounded the bed--trying to breathe again. I have truly thought, this time I will die. ...

How do I change the pressure setting on my CPAP?

I have used a CPAP for 5+ years. Recently this forum suggested I get a new mask, as mine was the original one. My CPAP setting was 13. The DME guy required a prescription . The sleep lab had my records in cold storage. After 6 weeks, they still had not been retrieved, so I agreed to a new titration ...

My energy would run out.
I caught everything going around--and was hospitalized for bronchitis and mono in my liver.
I had car accidents.
I had to sleep before trying to cook dinner.
I never wanted to get up in the morning.
