Re: ResMed AS10 Std vs Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Tank
What tank is what?? I just got my new CPAP machine - A nice new shiny ResMed AirSense 10 w/0 hours on it!! Woo Hoo!! Anyways, the new machine did not come with an SD card (which I expected) and a newer flavor of water tank with a round heating plate bottom. Both said "Distilled Water Only" o...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
Just wanted to update my situation: After watching this video, I changed my Resmed 10 to full face mask and went back to using my Swift FX medium mask. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpQC7TgCoe8 It made an immediate difference. It's been a few months now and I'd say the Redmed 10 is getting me the ...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
Just want to give an update for future reference. Even the Brevida mask was causing me to wake up sometimes at 3am or 4:30. Then I came up with an idea: I would go back to the P10 but I would look for other headgear that wasn't as tight. And I found it. The headgear made by Medihealer isn't nearly a...

Re: ORAL DEVICE FOR OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA
I'll give you my 2 cents on an oral appliance: I lost 90 pounds and I did another sleep test which resulted in me being classified as mild sleep apnea. I went to a dentist who fitted my jaw with an oral appliance. He told me these type of devices work for 80% of his patients 1) My jaw hurt using it ...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
Just an update. The p10 was a little tight and causing me headaches. So I switched to the Brevida mask and I now have had 2 successful nights where I don't wake up in the middle of the night. This mask does a great job of reducing air leaks. Conclusion: The Swift FX was great for the System one. But...

Re: Is anyone still using their System one CPAP machine?
Here are my truths: 1) I got great CPAP treatment from the System One Series 50 for 10 years without any side effects. 2) I have been unsuccessful, so far, in transitioning to the Dreamstation 2 nor the Resmed 10 machines There are little things, too, that I miss on the system one that these two mac...

Re: Is anyone still using their System one CPAP machine?
But is it really making anyone sick? I'm not convinced based on the data that has been put out there. The foam has to be decaying. Either by ozone treatment or extreme humidity. And even then, the amount of people filing claims is very very low. The truth is the new machines I bought aren't giving m...

Is anyone still using their System one CPAP machine?
Even after the recall, I received a Dream station 2 and bought a Resmed 10 machine. And I still prefer using the System One with my Swift FX mask. I sleep through the night and get better sleep. My question is, how many people are still using the System One even after the recall announcement? Is it ...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
So I figured out a solution to my problem. Someone mentioned above about leak rate. Well I've been using my Swift FX medium mask for 10 years with great success....with the System One. On a hunch I bought the P10 Resmed mask which is similar but some people said was better than the Swift FX. I tried...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
The particular night wakeup that I posted was at 4:30am. Previous night on the Resmed was 3:30. As for the Leak Rate, on the Resmed its been all over the place with a range of anywhere from 16 to 26. Doesn't look consistent at all . On the system one it is 30ish Here is my system one from last night...

Re: Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
It's happening every time I use the CPAP Here is a JPG I uploaded to FLickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/jojopuppyfish/52817107497/in/datetaken/ I was able to get back to sleep. But this doesn't happen with the System One https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52817107497_c7462febf9_b.jpg OSCAR Resmed...

Switching from System One to Resmed 10 and now I wake up at 3 or 4am every night
Here is my situation: For the last 10 years, I've been using the System One series 50 with great success. Due to foamgate, I bought a Resmed 10. I'm using the same mask (Swift FX Medium) and I'm using the tubing that came with the Resmed with the heating function of the tube turned off. Every since ...
